Dr. Mark Harry Fraiman, MD

I came in through the emergency room At St Joseph's Hospital. Dr. Fraiman was the surgeon on call, and I am grateful for that. I found Dr. Fraiman to be a good communicator and an excellent surgeon. I was hospitalized for several weeks. Dr. Fraiman followed up with me every day. Could not ask for more in a doctor.

Dr. Fraiman and staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable, thorough yet friendly. Dr. Fraiman took plenty of time speaking with me, answering my questions and coming up with a decision in my care that I was happy with. I would recommend Dr. Fraiman and his office.

Dr Faiman's surgical skills and bedside manner are both excellent. He was recommended to me when another surgeon in Baltimore failed to excise a neuroendocrine tumor on my pancreas and then lied to me (for years) that he had removed it. He personally checked on my condition twice a day, every day, after the surgery. Yes he is often on his phone. Big Deal. He is busy. Would you rather have a less skilled surgeon that is not in demand?

Don't expect a follow-up visit, and Don't expect any instructions on what to do after your visit. He will stare at his phone before he looks you in the eye and tell you anything useful. While surgically he is competent, he grossly negligent in his follow up procedures and with patient communication.

This doctor is cavalier and uncaring. He talks to hear himself and changes his story from sentence to sentence. Don't believe a word he says. Once the surgery is over, he could care less. He gives doctors a bad name.

My surgery was uneventful and that is good. However the Dr. was uncaring and rude, He has quite the arrogant attitude. He could not be bothered with me other than to send the bill.

I was 33 when I recieved a liver resection by Dr. Fraiman. He and his staff were wonderful. I do not drink or smoke and my liver diagnosis was a very difficult one but Dr. Fraiman did a wonderful job with the diagnosis, surgery and aftercare. I see Dr. fraiman every year for a follow up and I LOVE HIM...

Dr. Fraiman treated my Father for pancreatic cancer in 2010. His bedside manner is non existant. He is abrupt, callous and unprofessional. During a visit to my father in the hospital, Dr. Fraiman asked my mother and I to step out in the hall to discuss my fathers illness because he did not want to have to put on a gown or gloves. This happened at least 2 times during the hospital stay.i also believe it is very unprofessional to discuss a patients treatment and or condition right outside the door to another patients room. Dr. Fraiman would visit in the early hours to avoid seeing anyone from the family. He would prescribe tests and treatments without ever communicating any of this to my family, whether by phone or in person.I would never recommend him to anyone looking for kind, compassionate care.

I flew in from out of state for both my consultation and my surgery. Not only did Dr. Fraiman go out of his way to accomodate me, but he spoke with and allowed a local surgeon to follow me after I returned home. His knowledge and skills are among the best, and his bedside manner is extremely caring and compassionate. I highly recommend him to anybody requiring liver surgery.
