From the previous comments on Dr Franco being rude, I dont get. The first appointment I had ended up with the power going out in the whole area. I was already in the exam room waiting to see him. He opened the door and cracked a joke about me causing the power to go out. He said I can wait and see if the power comes back on. They got me a new appointment. I have seen him several times for knee pain and we have talked about options. I trust him. That is important to me. He has a great staff. Very nice.

I went in to see Dr. Franco with an injured knee. Having had a previous knee injury and surgery in the past, I was well aware of treatment options. in my opinion, this doctor was very unorthodox in his treatment. He talked over me when he asked me questions about my injury. He did not listen when I tried to point out where my areas of pain were or even want to know how I was feeling after a month of Physical Therapy. When he did his exam he nearly threw me off the table twisting my knee back and forth and asking if this and that hurt. He wrenched my knee so hard I sat straight up on the bed and yelled at him with tears in my eyes and holding onto the side of the bed so hard so that I would not kick him. If my knee had not hurt before it surely does now. He looked at previous X rays from my DO only telling me what I already knew from her. He never sat down and discussed what could possibly be wrong with my knee, no possible diagnosis. No suggestions on whether to continue PT… or not. He just told me that I should have the cortisone shot and if that did not work then do an MRI. Then if there was an injury possibly surgery. I was given a cortisone injection and was told to check back in 3 weeks if not better. This doctor was arrogant and rude and his bedside manner is terrible. I have no plans on returning. I now know why I was able to get in to him so easily.

Waited in his office for a good 40 minutes before he came into the room. The second he did, it was down hill from there. This man has an ego issue and felt he didn’t care about anything I said. The worse part was him squeezing my elbow to the point where it was excruciating and not letting go. Thanks for the bruise by the way. The dude went as far as saying, “Physicians always send their patients with pain to the surgeon instead of to physical therapy.” Well no kidding, it was already ruled out that it was not Tennis Elbow, and He kept insisting that’s what it was by squeezing my elbow and not listening to me when I showed him where the actual pain was or even bothering to look at the elbow. I have a great Primary with Methodist, but I will NOT be seeing an Orthopedic “Surgeon” with them again.

I waited over an hour past my appointment time to see Dr. Franco. When he finally did come into the exam room, he repeatedly stated that he was a SURGEON and since my shoulder didn't need surgery, he really offered little advice or help. I had waited weeks to get an MRI and this appointment following an accident. I had been told Dr. Franco was the one to answer the questions that I had. Each time I tried to ask a question, he dismissed my concern / question or repeatedly referred me back to my primary care physician for answers. I would have been better to have made an appointment with her. I will never go back.

Dr Franco is the rudest Doctor I have ever met. Even another doctor I know was treated disrespectfully by Dr Franco.

Dr Mark Franco compared the results of my MRI, which showed a Rotator Cuff tear, repeatedly to a pair of pants that wears thin in the knee over time?! I am 54 not 10! He admitted that he believes in the same surgery that he learned 20 years ago and not what the newer Drs perform. He continued by telling me that long term pain medication might be an easier option than surgery. The consultation ended with Dr Mark Franco telling me to let him know what I decided, he wouldn't retire for 10 years?!

I found this physician to be professional and personable. He clearly explained his medical opinion. I liked him very much and was surprised about previous negative reviews. I read these reviews before seeing him and I did not see the physician described in those reviews.

I have never been treated so poorly by a physician in my life. This man is rude to the core. He may be some fancy surgeon but he's totally lacking in human compassion. I wil never ever step foot in his office again. I hope Methodist Health Systems cleans up their act because 3 out of 4 physicians I have seen in the Elkhorn area are sub par at the best. I drove to Nebraska Medical Center on 42nd and received better care than I did at Dr. Franco's west omaha office. Methodist wake up!!
