I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Mark Frenkel. On December 15, 2026, he performed a lumbar fusion at L3–L4 on my back, and the results have been nothing short of incredible. This surgery was absolutely pain-free. I experienced no pain, needed no pain medications, and required no physical therapy afterward. I walked out of the hospital the very next day, December 16, 2026. The entire experience exceeded every expectation I had going into back surgery. Dr. Frenkel has developed an innovative new procedure called CemLIF (Cemented Lumbar Interbody Fusion). Recently, I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Frenkel on surgery for spinal stenosis of the neck. The surgery required the fusion of four vertebrae. Notably, I experienced only relatively minor pain for a few days following the surgery - and I was driving and walking a mile each day within a week of the procedure. In addition to the excellent results from my surgery, from start to finish, I found Dr. Frenkel and his team to be very caring, personable and responsive.

Before scheduling my appointment I read Dr. Frenkel's credentials and was confident in his abilities. When I met with him and he looked at me and said, "I can't stand seeing you in so much pain", I realized I was in the presence of not only a highly trained surgeon, but one with compassion and empathy. What more can you ask for? Two days later he repaired my herniated disc and I was able to stand upright for the first time in months. My pain is gone ... I've got my life back. Dr. Frenkel is the best surgeon....of any kind. I had 2 surgeries...the first conservative, which didn't last, and the second a fusion of 3 vertebrae. He is intelligent, kind, thoughtful, creative, and well educated. I would give him more stars if I could! This doctor is the real deal.

I have had 8 back surgeries...2 cervical & 6 lower lumbar. I started at age 16 & now 75. Dr Gerber did my last four fusions & he literally saved my life from constant, relentless pain. Apparently, Dr Frenkel does posterior fusions & he is beyond compassionate, kind & knowledgeable. Do not be deceived by his age! I wish I could adopt him!

Excellent doctor! I fratured my back in 3 places, 1 vertebrae required surgery. Dr. Frenkel put in 2 rods and 8 screws. Could not ask of more from any doctor.

Dr. Mark Frenkel performed surgery on my lower back to repair a ruptured disc between L2 & L3. I had experienced lower back pain for years as a result of stenosis and disc issues, but nothing compared to the pain of rupturing a disc. I was in severe pain, unable to support my weight without help. The surgery involved spinal fusion of the L2 L3 vertebrae, inserting a mesh "cage" in place of the disc, bracing the area with rods/bolts and tweaking the area where the stenosis existed. I am approximately 12 weeks post op and pain free. I look forward to getting back to my normal, active lifestyle as quickly as possible. I was a new patient with Dr. Frenkel and am thankful for his wonderful work in restoring my mobility.

I had severe radiating pain on the left side of my head. I was treated with shots which were no help. On my first visit with Dr Frenkel, he instantly diagnosed my problem which was confirmed by x-rays. He performed surgery which took away the pain immediately.
