He completed a cardiovascular and interventional radiology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia (1994-1995) after completing residency training in diagnostic radiology at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh (1990-1994), where he served as chief resident. He served his internship in internal medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware, now Christiana Care, (1989-1990), after graduating from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia (1989).
