Dr. Mark Steven Gerber, MD

He knew right away that when I came from the ER, I needed emergency surgery. He spent several hours overnight doing my surgery to decrease the amount of damage that I could've had on my spinal nerves. From what I learned now, if it had not been for Dr. Gerber doing my emergency surgery, I might have been unable to walk, been incontinent, or may have many more health problems. He was so assuring and gave me much hope. Even when I was at a rehabilitation hospital for recovery, He gave me a visit there to see how I was progressing. This has been over 10 years ago but I am still grateful for what he has done. Thank you Dr. Gerber!

Dr Gerber saved my retirement life. His explanations of what to expect from my lumbar stenosis were clear and the expectation of the surgery. Surgery was very successful land I can walk again without any assistance.

Smart, honest, talented and caring. Can't say enough good things about Dr Gerber. I had a misdiagnosed back problem that was agonizing. Went to him for a second opinion. He read the previously mis-read MRI, I had surgery 3 days later, and woke pain free! Went home the next day. I know several others with similar stories. There are other great surgeons in Hawaii. But honestly, you will not find better than Gerber.
