Dr. Mark Gjerde is a native Californian born in 1950 in OrangeCounty, near Anaheim. After growing up in Whittier, California, he attended college at the University of California at Irvine, where he met his wife, Karen. After a 2 week romance they were married in 1972, the same year Dr. Gjerde graduated with honors from UC Irvine. Shortly afterward, they moved to UCLA, where Dr. Gjerde graduated from dental school in 1976. Upon graduating, Dr. Gjerde, Karen and their newborn son, Sean moved to Wilton, California and have lived there ever since. Their second son Kevin was born in 1978. Dr. Gjerde’s Elk Grove practice opened in it’s current location in 1976, and although there have been many changes in the facility, the character of the practice remains the same.
Dr. Gjerde has been a proud member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Sacramento District Dental Society for over 30 years and remains dedicated to the principles of all.
