Dr. Mark Charles Goldberg, MD

I made an appointment with this office and was sent a link to join their patient portal. I logged in and saw that the NP provider took it upon herself to diagnose me with a condition I don't have based on medication she saw I was taking. When I sent my new patient paperwork in, I mentioned that this made me disinclined to respect or have confidence in them and that I would be irritated right off the bat. I got a call immediately the next morning and the lady was like, "she wasn't diagnosing you, she was just making a note," (tantamount to the same thing!!). This is apparently appropriate because this nurse practitioner has "been doing this for a long time" (whoop-di-do! good for you!). Riiiiight. Furthermore, she made this diagnosis-note based on "looking at some of [my] previous medications," which is FASCINATING seeing as how I never authorized my primary care to release any such information, so now I also have to go on a HIPAA scavenger hunt. Since when is it appropriate to "note"… that someone you've never seen has a condition they have not reported? Despite what 99% of physicians seem to think, it is actually not their right OR their job to determine what a new patient's needs and concerns are--it is their job to say "hello, new patient, tell me what your needs and concerns are." Pre-determining the priorities in my appointment immediately sets me up for maltreatment as a patient, and I'm already at a disadvantage as a woman of color because the medical institution routinely and as a matter of implicit policy (believe me--contemporary medical textbooks are objectively and openly racist and sexist and eugenicist) distrusts and disregards women and people of color. She then told me they were "respectfully going to decline to take me on as a patient" and canceled my appointment for the next day. That's right, I called them out for irresponsibly diagnosing me, a perfect stranger, with a condition I don't have and have never had, and instead of apologizing, they said they don't like dealing with disrespectful patients. lol okay. Guess I'll go have a heart attack now. On the other hand, guess I dodged a bullet. Maybe a different cardiologist will actually understand their job.

Dr Goldberg is absolutely the best!. His staff is excellent, always willing to get me in if I need to be seen. His nurse practioners are knowledgeable and very calming to see. Dr Goldberg is always great about explaining what I need to do, when to follow up and always has the time I need to spend to answer my questions. Highly recommend.

I was referred to him for echocardiogram and nuclear stress test by my PCP. His staff is more courteous than most other doctors; physical environment of office is nice and appointments were more timely than at most other doctors. He actually had a suggestion box and one could leave comments and ratings for his practice in his office, which I have never seen in any other doctor; it is not in front waiting room but inside waiting room where you wait for cardiogram, etc. I had positive experience. He does not spend much time with patients but no doctor does anymore with insurance working the way it does. He seemed knowledgeable and answered questions; seems reasonable. I did not have any invasive procedures done so cannot comment on how he operates or what the experience in a hospital with surgery, etc. would be. I personally would go to him again and recommend him without reservation to others

Dr Goldberg has been my husband's "heart" Dr for sometime now. He has done more for him physically and psychologically than any other. He is caring and concerned and easy to converse with which is something my husband finds very important. Our daughter has been seeing Dr G and if not for him, not sure if whe would still be with us. There is no other like him!!

Dr. Goldberg is a wonderful man. Everyone in his office reflects his positive attitude, at all times. I have had 4 cardiologists (different towns) and he is the best ever. I totally recommend him to someone searching for a good cardiologist. And, his office is a very lovely, relaxing place to be.

Dr. Mark Goldberg is such a fantastic doctor. His two Nurse Practitioners are also wonderful. His practice is by far, the best my husband and I have encountered.
