I will always be grateful to Dr. Hadley for giving me my life back. I was in excruciating pain for four months after injuring my back and he took ALL of that pain away from me. He is an amazing surgeon. He was gruff and a little tough on me a few times but it was 1000% worth it!

Doctor Hadley is without a doubt and knowledgeable man. The problem is he's aware of it and has all of the bedside manner of Attila the Hun. The question you must ask yourself is whether or not you can weather his abrasiveness.

My husband went to Dr. Hadley as a long shot after being told by his previous surgeon that he was “fine” with no further help offered. My spouse had been in a work related trucking accident 18 months ago and had one previous botched surgery. His spine was unstable, his leg was completely numb while having blinding back pain. Life dwindled to sitting in an upright chair or laying flat. When we saw Dr. Handley he was completely confident in understanding the issues, complications and good possible outcomes. He is blunt and knowledgeable. He was optimistic but promised only to do his best. These are exactly the hands I would want touching my husband! After a totally seamless and very thorough process, my husband has had success so far and is still healing. He woke up in less pain and that is what we had hoped! We have not had one single complication. My husband was highly motivated and Dr. Hadley came with his absolute “A” game. The staff who works with this team is… incredible. Thank you to David, Linda and all who helped us to have a smooth experience and taking such great care.

Very pleased with Dr. Hadley and staff. He used his God given talents to give me my life back. This is the first time being pain free in 3 years! I highly recommend him . They were very professional, compassionate and wanted to help.

Dr. Hadley has been my surgeon through 6 surgeries. Each one was successful. I would recommend him and his team to care for all and any of you spinal needs. His bedside manner is professional and his honesty for you condition is considered to be just that, honest. If he cannot perform a successful surgery, he will not attempt. I have a brighter outlook on life and I owe it to him and his team. They are the best in the business.

Dr Hadley is the best! Five months ago he removed a tumor in my spinal cord nerve sheath. I have other health issues making this a high risk surgery. Dr Hadley detailed exactly what those risks would be and what the surgery involved...step by step. Everyone heals differently and some longer than others. After months of pain due to the nerves healing...and a lot of patience...I am feeling great. I am so thankful for Dr Hadley, his Physician Asst David Aldrich and others at UAB. Together they are a team rated a TEN! I would recommend Dr Hadley to anyone needing back surgery.

Dr. Hadley is one of the compassionate and knowledgeable surgeons I have ever met personally and professionally. He is thorough with explaining the condition and possibilities for treatment. His office and bedside manner are exceptional, making the patient and family member feel important and cared about. Dr. Hadley gave my husband his strength, self-esteem, and quality of life back by doing a cervical spine fusion revision. What a blessing he is in his field and our area!

I am a nurse with over 25 years experience. Needless to say, my back was in terrible shape. I put off doing anything about it until I was at the point I could no longer walk without severe pain. My ortho doc told me there was no other option but surgery. Being a nurse, I was absolutely terrified of having back surgery because of everything I had seen and heard. With MRI in hand, I went to see Dr. Hadley. He looked at it and said I definitely needed surgery but he did not know if he could help me or not. His expertise, professionalism, integrity and skill make him fit into the top 1% of his field, but his passion and love for his patients have no comparison. I literally owe this man my life and I will be forever grateful.
