Dr. Mark Gabriel Hausmann, MD

cannot recommend enough

Dr. Hausmann performed surgery on me in response to issues I was having with my gallbladder,etc. Upon meeting him, he seemed courteous and eager to operate in order to alleviate the symptoms I was experiencing. The morning of surgery he didn't come in to talk to me before surgery or after. I, like most people, was anxious and scared going into surgery, and did not feel confident that I was in the hands of someone who cared about my well-being. He did talk to my family briefly immediately following the surgery to let them know everything went well. I've never had a surgeon be so arrogant and cold. He had no "bedside manner" when it really counted. I'll never go back to him, nor will I recommend him to anyone.

He and his office staff are very courteous and pleasant, however he failed to follow-up and left my care in the hands of a surgical resident who completely disregarded my repeated concerns about symptoms that resulted from a severe postoperative infection that developed. Had I not presented to the emergency room when I did, I would have died. Still Dr. Hausmann primarily left my care with the same resident. It was a horrific experience and I still suffer serious complications from the surgery and subsequent infection. I can not in good conscience recommend him to anyone. For the patients that choose him, I hope he has become more conscientious and I urge them to be strong advocates for their own care.

In 2006 and then again in 2011 Dr. Mark Hausmann performed surgery using laparoscopic. The two surgeries combined required 22 cuts in my abdomen. Dr. Hausmann and his staff has excellent customer relations. Dr. Hausmann has a professional manner with a quick smile and a aparkle in his eyes. The first time I met him in 2006 he made an lasting impression on me. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Dr. Hausmann for your knowledge and your skillful hands. Overall great experience. The doctor was very honest with me, which i like. He is quick and accurate. I liked him because he isn't the weepy, emotional-type doctor.
