Dr. Mark Edwin Helbraun, MD

I would give this excuse of a physician a -10 stars if that was an option. THREE years after he had done a procedure on me, I am still feeling the residual pain of his incompetence. The staff, mainly his wife, are a poor excuse for human beings, they lack compassion and empathy. Do not let this physician TOUCH you if you value your health and well being.

Dr Helbraun is a terrific doctor with lots of experience, patience and knowledge. He is also a very caring, giving and generous person. Not very common in his profession. Truly a God send.

Very good doctor office staff is very good goes over instructions before procedure I have been going to him for years he is very thorough in going over everything I feel very confident and comfortable with doctor helbraun he is a five star doctor I would highly recommend him

Puts patient at ease , is kind and doesn't rush you. His reassurance goes a long way and he listens to patient concerns. I am grateful to have found him.

He regales new patients with tales of his pro bono work on other continents, but should anything go wrong with your surgery, as it did with mine, he'll tell you -- and I quote -- "I've got nothing for you." Two years after the surgery, I am in pain -- not discomfort, pain -- every day.

made an appt with them after confirming with the front desk receptionist (older lady who manages all the calls and appointments) that they do take my insurance and that it is IN NETWORK. Not only did I feel the check up wasn't helpful to me in any way, I then get a bill for a ridiculous amount of $450. I called her up to see why, she explained it was because they do not take my insurance. ??!?! I was baffled. I only made the appt because she told me they took my insurance. She was also very rude and kept denying the fact she told me this. I ignored the bill for several months to which they ended up passing it off the collections agency. I felt cheated. The collection agency they use "SKLAR" then proceeded to put a lein on my bank account and take out the $450 PLUS additional costs/fees accrued without my consent. I was LIVID. This place is a complete fraud. Steer clear.

Dr. Helbraun is totally apathetic. He may have been a great doctor ONCE, but he has most definetly lost his edge. After a mis-diagnosed fissure, he got me on the surgical table and then did nothing. During a follow up visit he said I would be in pain forever. Yes, really. After that he refused my calls and visits. I went to a different doctor who did a simple rubber band ligation on my hemmorhoides and I was cured. Hellbraun said this was not my problem. TheN, I got a bill for $1000. Screwing up such a simple thing is really bad. The staff is one woman who thinks he walks on water and has terrible communication skills.

Lady at front desk is very unprofessional, answers calls and ignores patients in front of her.

was given 8:00 am appointment but doctor didn't show up until 9:00. Lady at front desk kept on answering the phone and dealing with the calls while she was trying to schedule me for a procedure. Dr Helbraun is an excellent and caring physician in my opinion. I have had five colonoscopy procedures with Dr. H over a 15+ period. He treats his patients with dignity and genuine interest, and listens and makes notes of all your concerns. He does only what he feels is necessary for your diagnoses and well being and follows up with any of the patient's concerns.
