Dr Mark E. Higgins, MD

I am not a big fan of going to the doctor so I really appreciate just how kind and considerate Dr. Higgins is. He always makes me feel at ease. My appointments are more like a visit with an old friend. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Higgins as my primary care doctor.

The man doesn't trivialize what you think of any medical condition you may have. The word empathy comes to mind.

I have been a patient of Dr. Higgins for 3-4 yrs. I'd had gastro-intestinal bloating and bowel pbms for apx 6-9 mos before becoming his patient. When I became his patient, he immediately started tests to eliminate causes. And 5 mos. later, I had a colonoscopy and found a stage 2 carcinoma tumor. Even the CAT-Scan 2wks before had been clear. If it hadnt been for Dr. Higgins tenacity and genuine interest in me as a person and patient, I would not be writing this excellent report about his care and caring. He goes above the norm for patient caring and personal assistance. He is a great un-sung hero in my book and I see how well he treats his staff and other patients too.
