Dr. Mark Allen Hulsey, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Hulsey for several years and he has always been concerned with my health. I think it takes a while to get to know each other.....at first I was not happy with the way he reads the computer but that is the way he finds out what he's treating and my history. He monitors every aspect of my health and I feel completely well taken care of. He has never seemed arrogant to me. I highly recommend his care and I have. Margie Stahlheber

Dr. Hulsey always takes plenty of time to listen to my concerns. He doesn't rush through the visit. He fully discusses options with me in regards to treating my RA & Fibromyalgia. If I'm not comfortable with one option, he is open to discussing further options. It is best to go in with a specific list of questions and concerns. Don't wait until you get there to start thinking about what you want to discuss. Get right to the point. I've never had to wait very long in his office. I highly recommend him.

Was asked several times to be sure to arrive 20 mins before appt time. Took 3 mins to check in. I then sat in the waiting room for an entire hour. Now here I sit in an exam room. For who knows how long. This is an 8:30 am appt. How can it be so far behind already. Frustrated and in pain

Dr. Hulsey is an excellent rheumatologist that I have complete confidence in his treatment of my lupus. He always takes time to listen and discuss treatment options. I’m not sure why other reviewers think his knowledge comes off as arrogance. I feel he is very intellectual and keeps up with the latest scientific findings. He quickly returns messages and lab results.

I found Dr. Hulsey to be extremely kind and compassionate. He did numerous tests to rule out the causes of my autoimmune disease. He went into great detail explaining things to me. After my follow-up second visit, he told me he didn't think he could do anything else for me. I appreciated that observation and honesty. Overall, I was very impressed with Dr. Hulsey and would recommend him to anyone. I totally disagee with the review that said he was arrogant.

Had hopes that he (being a supposed expert in the field) would be able to give me answers to the pain and condition I was dealing with for so long that no one else had been able. He gave me probabilities (condescendingly), but didn't rule out anything (only added to). He wanted to place me on a rheumatoid arthritis medication, but could not tell me definitely that it was RA. When I expressed my concerns about taking the medicine w/o knowing if I truly needed it and would rather try a holistic medicine approach . . . he in short, suggested that I go somewhere else to be treated. His arrogance conveyed to me that I was to accept his opinion w/o question, regardless if it was truly the correct treatment for me or not. This is what I dealt with after waiting four months for an appointment. Working hand-in-hand with the patient to achieve the best treatment and results is obviously a foreign concept to him. He'd rather do a cookie-cutter approach. If you're looking for someone to… treat you as a lab rat . . . and give you no say so in your treatment . . . even when he's unsure of the ailment . . . then he's your man

He is the rudest doctor in okc I wouldn't go back to him ever
