Hello my name is Gary lindsay. I've know Mark and his family for a few years, I actually got to coach his son brock in basketball. I had terrible hip pain about 26 months ago. I went to visit Mark and x-rays where taken showing my right hip was in very bad condition. Mark decided i needed a new hip. Two years to the date I had super-path hip replacement done on me. It was without a doubt simple amazing. I rode a bicycle 11 days after surgery. I healed so quickly i couldn't believe it. I would highly recommend if you are having hip pain, go see Dr Humphrey. Humphrey performed several surgeries on my leg. When it became inflected I went to ER and was told that swelling was normal and cyclical. 3 months later my leg ballooned. I went to see Humphrey and his staff correctly identified infection. Despite infectious disease specialist advice he removed partial hardware and left large femur plate attached. I returned to work with excruciating pain and visited him until 5 months passed and he claimed everything was fine and prescribed a brace. After this, barely able to walk, I went to KU where they immediately questioned why all hardware was not removed and got me into surgery and found, under the femur plate, that the bone was mushy. They had no choice but to cut off my leg. An entire year passed from my first ER visit to the amputation. Humphrey did not listen to the infectious diseases specialist nor did he properly listen to me about femur pain. This reckless, unprofessional behavior ended my career. Despite emails to him he never… responded. He turned his back on me. Beware.

Dr. Humphrey treated me for osteoarthritis in my thumb. I received a cortisone injection that relieved the pain in 36 hours.

Dr. Humphreys put my fears to rest, took the time to explain my condition and I didn't feel rushed!

Excellent bedside manner, very caring, knows what he is doing.

I wouldn't let any other orthopedic surgeon near me - every result (and there have been a bunch) have turned out perfectly. Rehab has always been easy and reasonable.
