Dr. Mark S Isler

I needed periodontal work done, and I shopped around, getting consultations from different Periodontists. I chose Dr. Isler because he was professional, friendly, the price was at least a third less than the others, and he was very informative. A picture is worth a thousand words, so when he showed me a picture and explained my condition, I felt empowered. Where, with the other doctors, I was left not really understanding my condition fully. He let me know that my condition was advanced, and where other doctors wanted to take an "aggressive" approach, he assured me that "aggressive" is no where near the term he would use. He told me that he was going to have to be extra careful, to not cause any further bone loss. Him and his assistant were very friendly and accommodating. I feel like they really connected with me as a person, not just another patient to check off the list. I also feel like my well being was put at the forefront of everything they did with me. Making sure I'm… okay and healing properly every step of the way. I have had one quadrant done at a time, and allowed ample time to heal between visits. He really makes sure you to be back at 100% before starting the next round. So, after my first quadrant wasn't healing properly, Dr. Isler knew something was wrong. He sat with me for half an hour, trying to get to the bottom of it. During my recovery, my gums were itchy and inflamed. We discovered what was wrong, turns out I had an allergic reaction to the dissolving sutures. It's a very rare allergy, and I truly believe most doctors wouldn't have taken the extra time to figure it out. It was Dr. Isler's concern for my well being that prompted the investigation, which ended up getting resolved. The rest of my quadrants were done and I healed properly, after finding my rare allergy. I highly recommend Dr. Isler.
