After first eye was done, Dr Jenkins said the vision was less improved than he expected. The second eye results was a little better. If that was all I would rate him on, I probably would have given him a three or four rating. The big disappointment came in the follow up care. It's been three months since surgery, and, both eyes have constantly, and continue, to have extreme discomfort. Both feel very dry and scratchy, especially under top lid. Systane complete drops may relieve for a very short time, but, after that, pain and discomfort return. but, still I was very careful not to overuse them (still on same bottle I bought right after surgery). On my return visit to him after three months, he said my eyes were not dry, that cataract surgery looked good, and didn't see any problem, like the pain and discomfort I was feeling was all in my head. He was in and out of the room in about three minutes. Although, he said he didn't see a dry eye problem, he said he would send prescription… eye drops for dry eyes to my pharmacy. Well, it was a medication that costs over $2000 for a three month supply, which my medicare insurance would not cover. And, even the second drops (Restasis) he called in was almost $500 with insurance (again, over $2000 w/o insurance). Neither of which I can afford. All for a problem he doesn't think I have. I want to find out what is causing it, not for someone to pacify me, and, not have to use drops for the rest of my life. I have never had dry eyes or allergies in my entire life. This all started with the cataract surgery, so, I'm not sure what went wrong. And even though vision has improved some (which I could have a gotten a decent amount of improvement with glasses), I regret every day having it done, at least, with Dr Jenkins.

I have been going to Dr.Jenkins for years and he amazes me! He truly cares about his patients and ensures that one gets the best all around eyecare available.
