Dr. Mark Juska, MD

Dr. Juska has been my doctor for years. He knows what to do with helping me with my awful pain and just a great personality. I will miss him at MPC, but will follow him wherever he goes, of course if within reasonable driving distance. He truly makes me feel validated and valued.

Didn’t familiarize himself with me as a ‘new’ patient to the office. Didn’t seem to know anything about me at the second appointment, either. Doesn’t listen, and makes no eye contact when communicating. Has a treatment plan in mind and doesn’t present options, or welcome discussion. Crosses his arms and closes himself off to discussion when treatment suggestions are made. Pushes a lot of PT, yoga, manipulative therapy, and special diets.

Could possibly be the worst Dr I have ever met. After waiting for over an hour in an office he came in did a five minute diagnosis and decided I needed months of PT rather than a cortisone shot that I was there to get. Went to Grand Rapids to get the shot and 2 years later I am pain free. He did not like it when I said that if I get the shot he gets paid today bit if he required me to go thru the physical therapy he'd get paid for the next six months. Total quack.

I have gone to Michigan Spain for over s year and am impressed with the staff and with Dr. Juska. He is very succinct in his explanations to me on all procedures, giving options when needed. He seems compassionate and better still, very knowledgeable about his field. He’s never condescending, alwys giving me time to think through my decision. And best of all, his procedures have been successful for me. I’d highly recommend him.

Do NOT waste your time as Dr Juska is condescending and dismissive! He will not bother himself to spend ten minutes in a room with a patient that's waited over an hour to see him, 2 occasions now!! He doesn't bother to familiarize himself to a "new" to him patient, (NOT new to Michigan Pain Consultants) prior history and has little faith in his colleagues professional diagnosis or opinions. He's also EXTREMELY quick to diagnose majority with fibromyalgia (which appears to be mostly a woman'd disease of widespread, flare up pain resonating from within her head!) Please beware and when you sincerely have chronic legitimate pain, stand up for yourself, DO NOT let him DISMISS YOU with a RIDICULOUS life long diagnosis of "FIBRO" founded in a less than 10 minute appointment!!
