Dr. Mark David Kanarek, MD

Kanarek (I don't want to address him as doctor as I am doubtful on his doctorate) is an unprofessional , careless and rude person. Dont even consider him for your kid. He overdosed my year old daughter with 3 extra vaccines which were already provided during her 6 months. With Help of Dr.Megan in her 15 month visit, I have realized that she was over dosed by Kanarek. When I have consulted him he denies and totally neglects.

Dr. Mark Kanarek is the ONLY doctor that sees my children, unless they need to see a specialist. I am shocked by his poor reviews. They are probably poor due to the fact that is is an advocate of ON TIME vaccinations and refuses to do things just to make a parents feel better (like give antibiotics for colds or panic when your kid has an ear infection.) He is does what is best for the child. I've heard parents in his office complain about this bedside manner...Dr. Mark is very calm and a bit dry, but my kids LOVE him. Again, he is there for your children, not to calm you down, not to give you medications because you want it and not to be your best friend. If you want something to cuddle, may I suggest a stuffed animal? Dr. Mark sat with my now 5 year old in NICU for two days, leaving only for a few hours to nap and to check in with his own family. He gives me the facts, even if I do not like what he is going to tell me.

Dr. Kanarek was acting as an on call physician for my son's provider. He refused to spell his name 3 times. I did not recognize it. Finally got spelling after filing complaint with my son's attending physician's practice. Come to find out, his malpractice resulted in the death of a 22 month old. Maybe that's why he wouldn't spell his name for me. When they attempted to transfer me to his phone directly because he ignored the on call page 3 times, he declined the phone call according to the call center representative whom was being recorded. He had to be paged a 4th time. He was hostile in nature when he called me, denied ignoring being paged the previous 3 times irregardless it being documented on a recorded line. He did not ask any information about my son; age, vitals, any odd behavior. Told me my son had an ear or throat infection and to take him to urgent after care then hung up on me. If my son required urgent care in his opinion, he should have returned the call sooner, not 3… hours later, especially with his medical practice history. As the representative from my son's practice was able to hear, my son is not sick, was playing and laughing and is in fact just teething which correlated to the reason for me paging the on call doctor. Please do not take your child to see this physician. He is obnoxious and clearly not well versed in medicine or bedside manner. Check other comments on other sites if you don't believe me. In fact, I strongly encourage you to do so.

Dr Kanarek is not even a 1 star Dr I wish I didn't have to put the single star but you can't avoid it. Please dont use them. He needs to just quit being a DR. He is rude and unprofessional at best. Couldn't even do a complete exam on my child. He didn't check her ears. Didn't listen to her breath. I was shocked at this and rather than ask him to finish I knew getting out of there and never coming back was the only thing to worry about. Why is he practicing if he has such distain for his job? Wish I had found these reviews before I took her there and could have avoided becoming another upset parent like the rest on here.

I have been coming to Nadal for over 11 years. I brought in my youngest daughter to Dr. Karnarek which was the first time my daughter seen this particular Doctor due to the appointment being made last minute, and her primary Doctor was not available. He came in, didn’t even listen to her chest or nose. Looked in her ears and said she was fine and that she only had post nasal drip. I didn’t feel comfortable with his diagnosis due to my medical experience, and how my daughter was acting. I took her to after hours and they found she had an ear infection and an upper respiratory infection. I would NOT recommend this Doctor to anyone who wants to find out if their child is actually sick.

Follow up visit is usually with the nurse practitioner. Totally different approach. Sarcastic and rude! Nurse Janet.

Ignores parents comments and missed diagnoses of 8 year old son even after months of bringing up issues . Office staff is unhelpful and rude. Wait time can be terrible many times

Have been to this practice twice, not very impressed at all. Dr. Kanarek is not very friendly, my kids don't want to go back. He did a check up on my 2 kids who were complaining of stomach aches was told they are fine. The next day my daughter spiked a fever took her to urgent care at 10pm she had a double ear infection. I don't feel comfortable recommending this Dr. to anyone he does not seem to care much.

Dr. Kanarek should not be practicing medicine. Has no bedside manner, quite short with answers, acts like he's doing you a favor. Misdiagnosed my daughter. Horrible will never ever go back to him. He needs to go back to med school, he clearly is not properly trained to see children. Go back to school and learn or find a career that suits you better. Remember you are suppose to help children, and that's not what you do. Beware find another Dr. There are so many great doctors he is not one of them.
