Dr. Mark Komrad, MD

This is Dr. Komrad. One of these reviews is talking about somebody else other than me or is completely fabricated I have never had any receptionist whatsoever In my entire career, let alone a receptionist named Mary who would tell people "to bring a book." I'm a solo practitioner with no office staff – ever .I am never more than five minutes late to an appointment, except in rare cases of an emergency. I do not take paper notes (can't read my own handwriting) but use a password protected computer. I have always worked in one office so don't transport notes in my car between locations. So one of these reviews criticizing these points is completely misdirected to the wrong doctor, or is a malicious fabrication with no relationship whatsoever to the reality of my practice or office . I was a patient a year ago, and doubt much has changed. Expect at least an hour wait every single time you go to see Dr. Mark. Patients call to check in 'how late' this time. This is not an exaggeration-I've never had less than a 45 minute wait and that was on a 'good' day. Secretary tells you to remember to bring a book. MD doesn't apologize and is himself a little looney. Not to mention, he takes all notes down on paper and transports them in his car to and from different places he works in a big shuffled mess. This places is run in an ancient and non-HIPPA compliant manner. Biggest issue of all is the receptionist, Mary. I've never left a review for a doctor in my life, let alone a secretary. I feel bad name dropping, but honestly it's deserved. Mary is highly unprofessional and inserts her opinions into everything without you asking. To give a few example of real situations: unwelcome advice on medications she thinks you should/should not be on, her personal advice for your… treatment, or your life in general. When she calls she acts like it's an inconvenience for her to do her job so you find yourself caving in and actually apologizing for her call! Hello-it's your JOB! It's actually astounding she even has a job, I've never met such an unprofessional individual, especially for someone who has been in this line of work a long time. Other reviews note the same things it's not an isolated incident. I highly suspect if the MD was a fly on the wall, she'd be fired. RUN AWAY.

He needs more help than his patients

I was dismayed reading several of these responses. Dr. Komrad treated me with compassion and listened carefully to my history. He was careful not to diagnose me immediately and did not push medication. He had already reviewed my medical records that I sent him ahead of my visit which saved a lot of time. He was not arrogant at all. One of his walls was covered with his awards and credentials. Why not? He earned them and some were required by law. He personally followed up with me after 3 days. He doesn't have office staff so he does everything. Lastly, I was touched that he shook my hands twice - upon entering and on my way out the door. I felt we hit it off great and became his patient soon thereafter. He's been my doctor for 2 years now.

His advice was awful. He never prescribed correct medication. He was arrogant, aloof, unfriendly, distant and seemed bored. I would definitely not rec ...
