Dr. Mark Alton Lafferty I, MD

I waited for well over an hour for my visit and the doctor left without even seeing me. A nurse practitioner saw me and was nice, but had no idea on how to help my bleeding. The ultrasound woman gave me the name and address to a “real” physician in the area. Want to let my insurance know not to even list them as an option for care.

Canceled my wife’s appointment the day of rescheduled then argued about copay I had to get my insurance company to call them that was not good enough had to get them to fax over saying they covered imaging still after waiting over 2 hours in office never seen a dr on top of that they still owe us money from another visit we paid copay on that was free wellness check worst experience ever they only want Medicaid patients

I had Dr Lafferty do my Hysterectomy. He and his staff where really nice. The one complaint I would give is I was never really told things in detail. Never told option just kinda told what was going to happen that's that kinda vibe. He was also the man that delivered my grandbabies and I have to say he did great with pregnancy care and the birth of my twin grandbaies.

Very unprofessional I have been calling this doctors office for over a month about billing my insurance company. They refuse to call me back. They send me a $400 bill every two weeks telling me I owe but have not once reached out to my insurance company. I have spoken to my insurance company several times who have also tried to call the doctors office to get them to send the bill. Every time I call they tell me they will inform Dr. Lafferty and the lady that’s in charge of billing. Neither one of them has taken the initiative to even pick up the phone to call me. The front desk said that the lady that’s in charge of billing works from home and that she’s not in the office. I’m not sure what she does at home but she sure is not doing her job or answering the phone. She have time to send me a bill but doesn’t have time to bill on my insurance company.....ridiculous.

Do not go to Dr. Lafferty! Horrible bedside manner, cold, rude, prideful. His staff is great and I feel bad that they work for such a terrible doctor. He sent me to a specialist, Dr. Page during my high risk pregnancy to get extra ultrasounds done. Yet he did them as well. ($$$$) Then when I needed a cerclage done, the specialist was unable to do it since he only has rights at Atlanta hospitals. So Dr. Lafferty said he could do it even though he had never done one past 18 weeks, I was 23 weeks.... I was nervous and upset. He then felt that I was too unstable to make my own medical decision and recommended I call my husband in to make this decision for me..... I left and went to a specialist in Macon that same day. She was prepared to do the procedure and put me under. I woke up and she said she was unable to do it. It would have been too dangerous to do one. So thankful I did not let Lafferty butcher me. He would have still done it and damaged me permanently.

Dr.Lafferty and his Team are Amazing I Truly enjoy every Visit! He delivered My First Baby Now Im Back for him to deliver my second baby!

I'm not sure if Dr. Lafferty is a good doctor or not because after 3 appointments he has not offered a plan, proper testing, or have even offered to give me an exam. He is aloof, cold, and even seems annoyed that he has to bother with actually interacting with a patient at all. This has been by far the worst care (or noncare) I have ever recieved from a physician.

This was my third pregnancy, but first one, with Dr. Laffery. The staff is great. Very easy to make and cancel appointments with no questions. The wait time varies a lot. I sat over an hour just to get back into the room at some appointments and then other times I was called back in 10-15 minutes. Dr. Lafferty did not take much time with me at any of my appointments. He seemed to always be in a hurry and not want to listen to any of my concerns. He was never aware of anything in my chart, it was like I was a new patient to him every time I went there. All nine months! I had a c-section done by him and he put me on Demerol even though it was in my chart that I had an allergy to it! I was VERY unhappy with my delivery experience and how I was treated by him through it all. I would not recommend him to anyone!

Dr Lafferty is compassionate and personable. Wouldn't want to go to anyone else.

I have been to tons of doctors and from experience Dr. Lafferty is the only doctor I feel that is competent, listens, cares, and is truthful about the diagnosis. He follows up as needed and really made me feel like he cared about my over all well being. To be honest, I would see Dr. Lafferty over any specialist any day. He is truly amazing. My friends also go to him and love him and his staff. Plus, he delivers very quickly for all of you looking for a good OB. I definately would recommend him and his staff.
