I consulted four different dermatologists over the past several years related to a condition that is not yet curable but managed at best. My last dermatologist, who is highly regarded, suggested that I see Dr. Lebwohl. On meeting Dr. Lebwohl it became immediately apparent why he is so highly respected by his peers. (He is both nationally and internationally renowned.) He immediately talked to me about recent studies related to my condition (I had no awareness of any) and shared his reactions to them. He presented all of my options and, based on his vast experience, recommended the option he felt would be best for me - an option never previously suggested. I very much appreciated his cautionary approach to some treatments (vis a vis potential side effects), expressing concerns previous MDs had never shared. Dr. Lebwohl’s Honors and Distinctions are exemplary and far too numerous to list. That said - and I consider this a bonus - he is extremely personable,… modest, and relatable!

I have been seeing Dr. Lebwohl for several years for a skin condition I know he is a highly respected dermatologist but my experience of 3 weeks ago was an absolute nightmare! First I tried for 3 weeks to get through to someone at Mount Sinai to find out if I needed an appointment. It was impossible to get the scheduling department on the line and no one in Dr. Lebwohl's office ever returned my call. Finally I made an appointment (although all I wanted to do was have my prescriptions refilled). When the day of the appointment finally came the first thing that happened was my approaching the reception desk and having a patient on the other end of the desk tell me I was trying to interfere with his privacy. When I tried to tell him I hadn't even seen him, he started coming after me and physically threatening me. (I am a 73-year-old woman). They removed the crazy man, and after a wait of only 90 minutes, I was ushered in to see The Great Man. Not a great experience! First I… pointed out to him that my two prescriptions had either not been refilled or refilled improperly. Two pharmacies that I had been successfully doing business for years were involved. Dr. Lebwohl blamed the mistake on the pharmacies. He then refulled the prescriptions. I asked him to examine my back to give me an update on the malady for which I was seeing him in the first place. He did so for 15 seconds and made it clear to me that he felt I was interfering with his time! I've had other bad experiences with Mount Sinai Dermatology's bureaucratic incompetence but never until here with any of their doctors. It was very upsetting to have a doctor that I've been seeing for years treat me so shabbily.

Honest, loyal, professional. His expertise and humanity is second to none. I admire him and feel indebted for the attention and care he provided.

Dr Lebwohl is probably one of a handful of top top Dermotologists in the US

Lovely man - wonderful bedside manner - detailed explanations - brilliant physician.

My experiences were terrific until this past year, when he repeatedly didn't biopsy spots that ultimately turned out to be squamous cell cancers, and he rushed, telling me I had a 5-minute appointment though I'd explained when I called I wanted more attention. I'd been a longtime patient and left.

His care a do treatment of my condition was excellent highly recomend
