Dr. Mark Steven Lee, MD

Warning this man has a mercurial temper. I saw him for a long time, but cannot recommend.

I had been complaining about husband's behavior post stroke and requesting for over 2 yrs that he get referred psychiatric evaluation. Instead, Lee just prescribed Lexapro, later added wellbutrin. Finally Mercy Hosp glaringly saw what I meant by by behavior problems, husband eventually came out of Vantage Point with Zyprexa 2x/day AND Remeron AND Klonopin AND prn ativan; no, he was not overmedicated, was calm, alert and able to interact. When I asked the status of Lee's referral to a psychiatrist 6 months prior, Mercy Hosp said "Mercy doesn't have any psychiatrists" (at least not at that time); we'd been waiting 6 months for a non-existent referral. I have since changed PCPs in case I ever have a stroke. Lee never diagnosed vascular dementia with severe behavior disorder, probably was way beyond his training/experience, but still did not refer to appropriate specialist. (Side note: if he has a lab report or xray, hard evidence of a medical issue he can't address, then he does refer… out.) Can't say he's not a nice guy, but it appears to be more important to him to collect his quota of patient visits.

Dr Mark Lee is my family doctor for over three years. Excellent and I highly recommend Dr Lee.

does not follow through with calling patients back when they say they will, its been 4 days now since they were going to call with test results, when we call them you can't even leave them a voicemail and ask a question. its not right that they send you in for very expensive tests and then don't tell you anything about the tests.

an overall great physician

I admire this physician's professionalism. However, the staff fail to return phone calls, relay incorrect RX information, and have to be talked into getting prescription correct. Very frustrating. Will leave Staff, not doctor, for better service.
