Dr. Mark Steven Lemel, MD

Worst experience ever. I didn’t realize how incompetent he was until now. Found out I had nerve problems in two places on my arm. Physical exercise would not only make it worse but I would end up unable to use my arm. He saw the issue. Admitted it was a relatively easy surgery and fix. Then told me he wouldn’t do it because he has performed the surgery ONLY ten times and never had any success. ‘Never had any success’ is a shocking thing to hear. A zero percent success is rate on a minor surgery. Then insisting, knowing it makes it worse, that I do physical therapy several times a week and ‘figure out’ a way to pay for into out of pocket it before he would see me again. Absolutely do not go to this man. Find another specialist.

Dr. Lemel is a great doctor. I would recommend him to anyone.

A cortisone injection in my left foot provided incredible relief from a painful condition from which I had been suffering for over a year. Dr. Lemel's diagnosis and treatment were outstanding.

I should have read the reviews before I let him operate on my finger. It will never be the same. The hospital backed him up when I complained.There is so much scar tissue my finger is worse than before the operation. Which he was 2 hours late for and tried to make up for it with a 5 minute procedure on my finger. He should not be allowed to practice.

He was 2 hours late for my medical procedure, it was a simple operation but he rushed through it and I now have so much scar tissue I have lost 75% of my mobility of finger, this I found out by going to a second doctor after Lemel could not find out what went wrong after operation.

We are very fortunate to have Dr. Lemel in our community. We called his office at 4:45 p.m. and told him our baby daughter wouldn't stop crying after a fall off the bed that morning. We had already visited the pediatrician and they couldn't find any obvious sign of injury. Dr. Lemel immediately ordered an X-ray at the hospital. As soon as the results came back that evening, his partner Dr. Graham diagnosed a broken leg and had us bring our baby to his office right away to set the leg and stop her pain. This was at 8 p.m. at night. You can't expect much more from busy doctors to set aside their evening plans and take care of your injured child. We are very fortunate to have Dr. Lemel and Dr. Graham practicing medicine in our community! Thank you for helping our daughter and not making her have to go through a night of pain.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Lemel. He was very friendly from beginning to end. He explained thoroughly my issue and all the options I had to remedy it. He also answered any questions I had in detail. I can't imagine he would ever conduct himself in the manor reflected by the negative reviews. Unfortunately, people tend to complain on these sights and don't bother to report positive experiences. I would recommend Dr. Lemel to anyone.

I was referred by the ER dr to see this Dr because my xray showed a fractured patella, the ER Dr and radiologist were certain enough to brace my leg and give me pain meds. When I went to this Dr however, his exact words were "dont go to the ER unless you are dying, they dont know what they are doing, You have severe arthritis" then he asked if i smoked, which i admitted to and he told me not to worry about my knee because id be dead before it got bad enough to replace any way as i was also overweight, and then he said , " tell you what , let me LOOK at the xray" i realzed he had said all this before he even looked at what they were saying.He handed me a picture of my knee xray with the arrow pointing at the fracture and told me it was nothing when i asked what is that then ? I reported this to the ER , I was told they would conduct a review give me a clear answer, and i got the letter from them yesterday saying they let the Dr know how i felt.that was the resolution, meanwhile i… still cannot put weight on this leg at all some days . Well I am sure if i had known that this was all they would do I would have let him know how i felt much better than they did , this is absoloutly the worst doctor and medical association I have even seen. Beware

Horrible and very disrespectful. Should reconsider his career path if he has such a problem with the public!!
