Dr. Mark Joseph Libassi, MD

I was referred to him for abdominal trauma related problems. He completely dismissed my symptoms and overlooked my studies. I have suffered from this doctors mistakes and continue to have complications from this doctor misdiagnosis. I would get a second opinion when dealing with this doctor.

Had went to him a few years back and seemed ok didn't really have a great bed side manner. Until recently my symptoms came back worse than ever, had went to him thinking he would straighten everything out again, and to be told he was going to do everything again by doing a Colonoscopy and Laproscopy, told me I would get a call in a week to schedule me to come in the Hospital and that call never came. I waited one month and one week to the day for him to have a Receptionist to call me and tell me my insurance wouldn't cover me by him just putting me in the hospital. I personally think its just to much and to many hours of surgery that's why he turned it down. Found another Dr and had no problems. He isn't the kind of Dr you want if you have a lot going on with your Health. I found out the hard way.

The most horrible experience!!! Office staff that answers phones are EXTREMELY RUDE, forget seeing the Dr (unless you are a banker or Dr, or celebrity, their time is OBVIOUSLY more precious than the patient's ( and they don't hide that fact at all, waste of a $25 copay, and $100 copay for the surgery, which has developed complications, no post op instructions given, had to call the office to even get that. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I went to a GI visit & ended up in the ER and then in the hospital for 15 days. Unfortunately, they found colon cancer and at a younger than normal age I was and am in shock. Dr. La Bassi was my surgeon who removed the mass and input my power port for chemotherapy. So far, he is the "only" doctor's visit I look forward to going to. He is truly a people person and looks you in the eye and lays everything out for you, doesnt rush your visit, answers ALL your questions and takes his time during your visit. Makes you feel like he's treating YOU and not just "your" illness. I've had several friends and family members meet and talk/ask questions and everyone says the same thing about him. He was definitely a Godsend during this difficult time in my life. And I've come through both surgeries better than expected. It really makes a difference when you get a good feeling about your doctor and I am thankful everyday for being in the right place at the right time to of received this man!
