Excellent caring healer!

Dr Light is one of the most compassionate, caring, and knowledges Dr's I've ever been involved with.

Dr. Light now practices a form of Energy Medicine called NAET (www.naet.com) which eliminates allergies as blockages in one's energy system. Based on the book, 'Say Goodbye to Illness', he nows sees chronic illness relief and a decrease in medications. He uses herbal medicinals for healing, also. He now gives talks on healing instead of maintaining illness. And, the discourteous staff are long gone!

I don't write 4 stars in all fields just because. Dr. Light was the first Doctor in years, actually ever, that gave a darn about me, FACT. I still see him as my primary care doc even though I've had to go elsewhere for my pain management needs after the narco-hysteria witch hunt because he is through, caring and knowledgeable. If he would only do house-calls, he'd be like a family Dr. from a bygone Norman Rockwell era. My only complaint is that he is a Christian and I always end up saying "God bless you" back to him when I leave his office as a reflex response even though I accept that god doesn't exist. So, to all those who blame doctors for their drug addiction, take responsibility for yourselves and quit making people with legitimate pain suffer and stop trying to ruin the few doctors left who are willing to risk their licenses to treat those whom most physicians cowardly leave to suffer needlessly and alone. Good luck finding a better, more caring doctor, especially in Chico.

I truly dont know why his narcotics script was suspended but I do know that he has always treated my family with concern and respect.... It was suspended last Nov. when Dea agens showed up at his office and found him in violation of two code violations. One, the sample inventory(pharmacuitical companies samples, which are given out to paitents) were not acuratly inventoried and recorded. Secondly a vial of human growth hormones or testesterone were left out on a counter. and not locked up. The fine of $100,000 needed to be paid on the spot in order to avoid the revocation. He chose to go through a lawyer and that is a process. God Bless him.

I am very happy with Dr. Light. Alway's kind, understanding and efficient. Never had a misdiagnosis. Never had a problem with over prescribing pain medication. He is filled with kindness, caring and concern. Something the majority of Dr.s lack. Stand tall Dr. Light!! You are an excellant Doctor.

I have had multiple surgeries and dr light was giving me more than 1000 pain pills a month. Whatever I wanted, he filled. True enough, I asked for them, but should he have given them to me? I got addicted to them, obviously. And when the other doctor in town got in trouble, Neuchatz or something like that, he called in his patients he was overprescribing to, gave us all a one month supply and told us to find a new doctor. You other folks call that caring and him helping get off the meds??? Not helpful. Negligent. I could have sued him for medical malpractice FOR SURE for keeping me on that much pain pills for years but I didn't because he's a very nice man, just not a very competent doctor. Competent at giving drugs to someone who needs drugs. I suffered a great deal, but I managed to get over the pills on my own. After taking 24 to 30 pills a day for years from him.....

I cant believe how fast the wolves decend. I truly dont know why his narcotics script was suspended but I do know that he has always treated my family with concern and respect. I have posted here before and I still believe he is a God send. My husband does not believe in narcotic healings and when every other Dr in the area he had seen tried to push narcotics or write him off, it was Dr Light who found the alternative for him. A pain specialist, Dr Lal, who treated him with a nerve blocker. No Narcotics! People who know Dr Light need to stand up and speak otherwise or we will lose a truly compassionate man who also happens to be someone who can help us day in and day out. Keep your faith Dr Light, its what truly sets you apart from the rest.

Mark Light gives Doctors a bad name. He is no longer allowed to write perscripitons for painpills. Not sure what he was gaining for this but it had to bring in a lot of patients which would mean more money in his pocket. He is a true quack. I hope they shut your business down. You made my friend suffer and I believe now I believe you need to suffer. And to think you call yourself a chritian. Go figure.

Just try to find a more caring and compassionate Doctor anywhere. He gives Toradol and/or cortisol injections when needed for pain relief. He prescribes tests, including labs, MRI, x rays, etc. He prescribes physical therapy and sees me whenever needed. He even returns phone calls himself. He is the best Doctor in the area. Try to find a Doctor who genuinely cares about you, spends time with you like he does. It's not possible. He has never been careless and always listens to me. He does prescribe pain medication, but not carelessly. He is a pain specialist. He does not like to see his patients in pain. He would happily help any patient reduce their own personal narcotic pain medication use. Patients need to take their medications as prescribed. If you become addicted by miss-usage, they must take personal responsibility for that and not blame the Doctors. Thank God for this man and his wonderful staff!
