Dr. Mark Andrew Liker, MD

I had been misdiagnosed over and over for more than a year by a different neurologist. Finally I was sent to see Dr. Mark A. Liker and on my first appt Dr. Liker found the problem. I had brain surgery which he performed and gave me my life back. I am absolutely grateful for all he's done for me. Dr. Liker is an amazing doctor.

What can I say. The whole experience was phenomenal. The staff was great and my appointment was prompt. Both doctor Liker and Patel listened to me vent patiently and never pressured me. They diagnosed me and gave me viable options. Dr Liker was my second opinion after having a horrible experience with another neurosurgeon. Reviews matter.

He does not care about the patient's family or being sympathetic. He announced that to my family that I am not surviving and brain dead at the Hallway of the hospital in front of my parents with my very young niece (9 year old)

Found it very hard to believe that he let me leave his office in the condition I'm in with my Cervical Spine. Knowing the severity he should have sent me by transport to USC, or UCLA, where he referred me.

Doctor Liker is an expert when dealing with brain and spinal surgery. He is conservative and does not push unesesary surgeries. In addition he referred me and consistent with ordering all of the necessary test to confirm the diagnosis. He will try less evasive procedures prior to rushing into surgery. He takes as much time with each patient so we are educated with all options to treat the source of pain and suffering, with that said the wait in the office can be a little longer than expected. Trust me the wait is well worth it. He has impeccable bed side manner. He preformed three of my five back surgeries. Dr. Liker knowledgeable of the latest and greatest procedures. I highly recommend him and his staff to anyone who has brain and/or spinal injuries.

Dr. Mark Liker is a fantastic neurosurgeon. In 2007, he performed an artificial disc replacement at the L-5, S1. Within a few weeks I was up and moving, pain free. In 2015, I fell down a cliff, injuring my low back. My primary care physician sent me to an orthopedic dr for therapy. For over 14 months I lived with the horrid sciatica pain. Countless mri's, X-rays and ct scans and the ortho could not figure out what was causing the problem. The imaging views were unable to pinpoint the problem due to the metallic disc in my back. I finally made an appointment to see Dr Liker. He ordered a nuclear test which showed abnormalities on the left side of my low back, canal issues. A few months late he performed a semi, hemi surgery and guess what? The sciatic pain disappeared. I cannot say enough about Dr. Liker. He is pleasant, Funny but most importantly, extremely knowledgeable. I have referred many of my friends to him and he will be the only doctor who touches my back or… neck. Sometimes the waiting can be annoying but Dr Liker is well worth the wait. I have a lot of faith in this doctors abilities and he is well known throughout the country as one of the top neurosurgeons in the country.

Back surgery after horrific motorcycle accident in 2002. One of my vertebra was crushed. Dr. Liker and team replaced the vertebra with a titanium cage and 2 titanium rods. 14 years later, I am in the best shape of my life, I do CrossFit among many other hobbies. Dr. Liker gave me back my life. I have no back issues whatsoever. His bedside manner is awesome. You could not ask for a more caring physician. He is my hero

Where others physicians were jumping to do surgery on me, Dr. Liker was not convinced that I was a candidate. Conservative care and ongoing follow ups, saved me the rehab and expense of surgery.

Doctor Liker and front off staff is top notch. Unfortunately the assistant that schedules his surgery is not as cooperative. Its very hard to get hold of her and she does not return calls promptly. This is the reason for a poor rating. Eventually I will have a procedure done on two levels of my back.
