Dr. Mark William Lucia, MD

Unfortunately my planned surgery did not go as planned. I had a cardiac arrest on the operating table. (I did come back thanks to CPR) Dr. Lucia was extremely supportive to my wife who was there alone. He spent most of his time talking to her and getting things lines up for me to go to an ICU. Dr. Mark Lucia was my anesthesiologist at Arise Hospital for a subtalar fusion. He was sweet, funny and did a great job putting in a nerve block that lasted the full 55 hours it was supposed to. Then - 6 months later - I required a revision surgery and he was with another patient so I got a different anesthesiologist and her nerve block began to fail before I left the recovery room. Thankfully, Dr. Lucia was there and at least was able to save the day. The pain with no nerve block was through the roof - so thank you Dr. Lucia for being so sweet and for being extraordinarily skilled.
