I have taken my son here for 10 years. Dr. Maklin is so kind, the staff is always patient and understanding! Read the actual reviews, looks like he may have gotten a few one star ratings on accident, this place is awesome!

This dentist sees my daughter, age 8, who has Down syndrome. He allowed us (parents) to be present for her first few visits, until she became comfortable with the environment. She went back on her own today for a cleaning and x-rays, and did great. Thank you!

There is no clear reason to separate every child from their parent children during a dental visit. This can be very frightening for some young children, and is not the way to help them become comfortable with their dentist initially. Our child still remembers his horrible visits when he was in preschool and kindergarten. Thankfully we found a kind, gentle and well-qualified dentist who initially allowed us to sit with him - As he grew familiar with the dentist, he did fine on his own.
