Dr Marzouk saved my husband life and we will forever be grateful to him.

I am writing this review for Dr.Mark Marzouk in hopes of helping someone find the best of the best. My daughter spent this past year battling a rapidly growing nodule on her thyroid. She has as much fear of the scar as she did of the actual surgery on her neck. She spent countless hours on the internet researching minimally invasive procedures from armpit incisions to behind the ear to avoid being left with a scar she didn't want to face. The former surgeons she met with told her the nodule was way too large to consider any of those options. One day she came across an article on Dr.Marzouk joining the staff at University Hospital and how he had trained in the newest techniques in minimally invasive and endoscopic treatment of head and neck disease. It stated part of his practice would include endoscopic treatment of thyroid and parathyroid disease. We contacted his office immediately and my husband and I went with her to meet with him. There was a calmness and assurance about him that… immediately put us at ease. He was so confident and poised in describing the procedure to us in layman terms. He spent so much time with us and left us knowing this was the one. He was so attentive to her wishes in surmising how he could best help her. In just talking to him we knew he was the right choice and our decision was made.. At last we found someone we trusted completely. The surgery was flawless, minimally invasive and her scar looked great from the very beginning. Dr.Marzouk came to the waiting room to speak to my husband and I and gave me the thumbs up I hoped to see. He even remembered my request, another demonstration of his caring and kindness. Her surgery was just a few weeks ago and she is feeling great. Her scar looks fantastic and fading more each day. We are so grateful to him for taking us through this with such grace and compassion. I felt the need to thank him for giving us our daughter back and for how he helped us every step of the way. I hope this message reaches someone that may be facing similar fears ad gives them the confidence to trust in Dr.Marzouk. Look no further. Our sincere thanks to a very special man. We are very fortunate to have Dr.Marzouk in the Syracuse area now.

I am certain I donâ??t have enough space here to explain how excellent Dr. Marzouk is, but I will try. I am honestly so lucky to have found him and very highly recommend him to anyone. I had a large thyroid nodule and was told I needed to have it removed asap. I was terrified of surgery in general, and even more afraid of the appearance of the scar and possibly complications. I met several highly recommended surgeons and was told by every one that my nodule was so large that I would not be able to have a minimally invasive procedure done. I had been searching for almost a year (and refused to give up!) when I found an article written about Dr. Marzouk's new minimally invasive head and neck procedures on the internet and contacted his office immediately. His staff was fantastic as well. Upon meeting him, he was very knowledgeable, calm, professional, and he explained he would be able to do every single thing on my wish list for a best case scenario. He also was the first doctor… to tell me that he could do a minimally invasive hemithyroidectomy for my specific situation. I established trust in him immediately, and I did not think that was possible. On the day of surgery everything went fantastic. I had a 12:00 procedure and went home about 7 hours later on the same day. The scar doesnâ??t bother me whatsoever; it looks so much better than I couldâ??ve ever asked for. Itâ??s tiny, straight, and almost not noticeable already in just a few weeks. I had zero complications. He went out of his way to treat my family unbelievably well also. I probably would have waited forever for this surgery if I didnâ??t find Dr. Marzouk, simply because I was so afraid. There arenâ??t words to really explain much he helped me, how much better I feel, and how happy I am in the way everything turned out.

Dr. Marzouk is a true professional. From the time I set foot into his office I was met with competent and professional staff who helped to put me at ease. Dr. Marzouk is knowledgeable, and obviously competent. In addition he communicates well, sharing important information ensuring patient understanding. He has a calm demeanor, and takes the time necessary to make a patient feel comfortable. The surgical process was also well orchestrated, and is a credit to Dr. Marzouk's leadership. I would recommend him to anyone requiring ENT surgical intervention.

I write this review because of a doctor and hospital that his brought my respect back to the medical field. I have had numerous experiences with a number of hospitals in the New York area including Long Island. Meeting Dr. Mark Marzouk and the Surgical Staff of Stony Brook has been a very positive experience. From the first visit to Dr. Marzouks office to the follow up visit his staff was cordial and professional. The Stony Brook Surgical Staff, from the receptionist who was very informative and kept my wife up to date with details, the anesthetist left me with no after affects. The nurses were 100% attentive and kept me almost completely painfree. Dr. Marzouk and the Stony Brook Surgical staff deserve 5 Stars. Thankyou for a positive experience.

Dr. Marzouk was excellent. He spent time explaining the surgery and showed great concern for my well being. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. explained everything before surgery and after. Surgery went well. Four follow up visits after surgery. Excellent. Would recommend him to anyone !!!!!
