Dr. Mark Lee Mathers, DO

Dr. Mathers needs to learn more manners. Really! I was waiting for my appointment 2,5 month to correct my nose, but when we finally met, dr. Mathers said that he decided not to do this type of surgeries any more. They still charged me a consultation fees and empty handed I went home. Unfriendly, cold personality and disrespectful, I think people like him don’t need even to be in business.

I waited six years to have a surgical procedure due to a serious long-term illness. When the time came, I knew I wanted doctor Mathers. He came highly recommended from past patients who are personal friends, as well as the #1 breast surgeon in town. I didn’t even go to anyone else for a consult. Didn’t need to after i met him. Doctor Mathers has a quiet confidence about him that puts you at ease immediately. He is thorough and patient in his explanation and ultimately tells you what you need in order to achieve your goal. He is conservative in his recommendations and I got the impression he isn’t the type to “upsell” you with unnecessary work or agree to just anything one might suggest. He will tell you what he thinks he can do for you to help you both achieve your goal and maintain symmetry and a balanced aesthetic. His nurse was super sharp and very meticulous in her pre-op instructions. I had some anxiety over general anesthesia, but his surgical nurse made me feel so comfortable… over the phone and took her time to assure me of the skill and experience of the anesthesiologist. My mom is a Respiratory Therapist and she’s always told me that if you want to know the true nature of a doctor, simply ask their nursing staff~they tend to be very forthcoming either with words or body language. Every person that we have met from the front office to billing to surgery obviously respects and enjoys working for Doctor Mathers, and that is a true testament to his character. I look forward to my next procedure with him because I know I am in great hands.

I think dr mathers is one of the best plastic surgeons in the USA, he’s always informative, tells you the truth and gives honest opinions about procedures, always available to you if you need to be seen or ask questions

I had surgery with Dr. Mathers last Nov. 2015. I was nervous but soon felt better and less anxious because his staff is very warm, welcoming and professional. They are always friendly, funny and open to questions. My surgery experience was superb! The overnight stay and the follow-up was meticulous. I felt very well taken care of through the whole process: surgery, recovery and follow-up. If you are considering plastic surgery, do your homework and know you are in excellent hands with Dr. Mathers.

I had extensive "mommy makeover" work done by Dr. Mathers and was experiencing a lot of pain a week or so after my surgery. In reponse to my calling to have my pain meds refilled x1 , he cut my dose in half and I was told that this pain was normal and it should be getting better. I felt like I was treated with his standard protocol and he was not responsive to my needs personally at all. Thankfully I had a family member that could help me but for what these surgeries cost me I shouldn't have had to get help with pain from another doctor.

My experience has been awesome - staff becomes close immediately! Very comfortable atmosphere! I have referred 5 friends who all agree! Appreciate the one on one care and a competent team!!

Dr. Mathers removed a cyst from my teenage son's face. I was concerned about scarring but it looks very good just one week after the procedure. Highly skilled surgeon and very nice man!

Dr. Mathers did my breast reduction a few years ago and they are perfect! I have many friends who have gone to him for different procedures and they are very happy with their results. He and his staff are very friendly and professional.
