Dr. Mark William Mccord, MD

Dr. Mc Cord and his team had many challenges in my treatment and were always upbeat and positive while providing the necessary radiation during my cancer treatment. I will continue to recommend him and his team to anyone dealing with battling cancer. I have been all clear in my last three follow up tests and fully believe Dr. Mc Cord and his Team are a very big reason!

Dr. M. McCord is an EXCEPTIONAL Dr. and individual who genuinely cares about each of his patients. He is patient, compassionate, direct, courteous, kind, thoughtful, informative and thorough. His whole staff reflects his excellent qualities and display great respect for him, as do I. In my opinion, Dr. M. McCord possesses a rare and unique exceptional attitude of commitment to excellence in all he says and does. He kept me informed, explained everything thoroughly, then asked if I had any questions. I did and he patiently listened and responded to each of my questions and/or concerns. Throughout my radiation and HDR treatment, he kept me informed and touched base with me frequently to see how I was doing and feeling, which alleviated the usual "wait, wonder and worry" issues tied to this. I trust him and his staff completely and would recommend them to anyone, including my 85+ year old Mother. He is also flexible regarding last moment schedule changes that pop up on occasion due to… valid reasons.

From the moment you step into the waiting area you are treated with the upmost respect and visible caring. The wait time for your appointment has always been minimal, pretty good record when you're there every day for 6-8 weeks. Dr McCord is one who leaves no question un-answered, assuring your understanding of the prescribed procedure along with easing the apprehension from within.The entire time I spent at this facility was made me realize, Dr McCord and the staff of Atlanta Oncology take their job very seriously and treat each person as I'm sure they would want to be treated, in a very professional manner.

If anyone of my family or friends gets cancer this is where I tell them to go. Everyone is wonderful! They helped me see the possibilities of being well again.

Dr. McCord made time for me, took a diagnosis from an MRI and formulated a plan, and called me personally as well as took calls when I called him. Probably the best doctor experience I have had.
