Dr. Mark Edward Mcgranahan, MD

My son and I are sick to my stomach after our most recent experience. 3 years at this practice with my son & daughter. The staff has always been unpleasant but helpful enough when necessary. The nurses are amazing but should run as they deserve WAY better than to be affiliated with AtoZ. I’ve had mean doctors before but at least they were capable and compassionate. Dr MCGRANAHAN was wrong on so many levels today! Made rude insinuations, outlandish judgements, and barely let me get a word out once he asked questions. He cut me off at every other word while I was attempting to advocate for my 8year old. My son even said don’t cut my mom off. This “doctor” if you can even call him that went as far as using threatening, erratic body language, while pointing a finger, and raising his voice to a minor all the while talking down to my son the entire time. Words cut and they scar! This “Drs” bedside manner is APPALLING and totally INAPPROPRIATE with a complete lack of human decency. We have… been seeking mental health counseling and navigating a difficult home life this past year which McGranahan is aware of and still chose to act in such a repulsive manner. He even had the audacity to point at my son and say behavior like this makes me “question your parenting style” As a parent you should know we feel like failures multiple times a day and don’t need someone like you, who should be helping, choose to be petty and purposely attempt to inflict pain by saying and using hurtful untrue words. My daughter visits AtoZ and gets raves reviews, seriously everyone loves her and comments on it so basically GRANAHAN you chose to stoop this low to make an 8 year old feel mortified and inferior because of your shortcomings as a doctor and human being?! My son chose to stick up for his mother. I assured him after he did nothing wrong that this was more about the doctor’s inferiority and shortcomings than his or mine. I also chose to thank my son for sticking up for me as he lacks impulse control and chose to take a high rode and instead of losing control and behaving like MCGRANAHAN did, a middle aged man, supposedly well educated, business owning, MD! There is absolute no excuse for this kind of behavior from a grown up. Please “DR” see if you can look at yourself in the mirror or sleep tonight because if you can you are in need some serious mental help. It’s apparent you became a “doctor” for all the wrong reasons. Maybe it’s the power since you chose to try and use your power to degrade us to this extent. To become a pediatrician and be this toxic to children is baffling. You are a big reason why my children are scared of doctors and healthcare because when they’re sick and in need of help the ones you trust the most choose to thrust their hand and words on you to shove us deeper into the dark, scary abyss. SHAME ON YOU MCGRANAHAN & ON YOUR STAFF!! AtoZ is an inconsiderate and incompetent practice. If I could leave negative stars, I would. This is one of the worst experiences of our lives, for my overly sensitive 8yr old and myself. MCGRaNAHANS attitude, wrongdoings, and how he chose to enter the room already fuming about something that had nothing to do with me or my son were absolutely horrifying to witness. This is my warning to all current and future prospective patience. Please save yourselves the unnecessary stress of inferior human interactions and find another practice for your loved ones and our worlds future. Our children do not need to be influenced by cruel people like MCGRANAHAN. This world needs kindness especially while sick and suffering in need, brave enough to ask for help. McGranahan please do this world one favor and attempt to save the world by finding another profession that doesn’t involve people and definitely not children. I feel sorry for your son with supposed ADHD if this is how you choose to make people feel when they come to you for help with their condition. This word deserves infinitely better than a man or doctor

I would recommend Dr. McGranahan. He is a wonderful and nice doctor. He takes his time with us. The staff is all very nice. I gave the staff 2 stars because the lady that sits in the front window is always so crabby. She has almost made me switch doctors, but I like Dr. McGranahan so much. She has a terrible attitude. It's really too bad. She should not work directly with the patients. Maybe hide her in the back.

I think Dr McGranahan is an awesome dr, who always goes above and beyond for his patients. I wish there were more dr's like him. He always tries to fit us in, if need be, and he always takes the time to follow up if its something serious. It really meant a lot to me and my family when my daughter was really sick.

Dr. McGranahan is fantastic. He is so kind and caring and always gives the best care to my little girl.
