Dr. Mark Kimball Mc Kenzie, MD

This doctor worked on my right knee and did an amazing job. When the ortho in my hometown refused to believe there was anything wrong with my knee and insinuated that I was simply out to get painkillers, I was re-referred to McKenzie. McKenzie found my problem right off and fixed it the first time around. That was in 2009. Three years later I am still problem-free and my knee works just as if I never had a problem to begin with!

My case was not straightforward and I felt Dr. McKenzie did a good job of managing it. He listened to me and after understanding my concerns was willing to follow a nonstandard protocol. Unfortunately the MRI he ordered was not at all definitive and when he scoped my shoulder found substantial damage needing repair. He was willing to work with me and my limitataions (I'm an amputee) and balance my abilities with the demands of my rehab program. My only frustration with Dr. McKenzie is there were times I felt his care was a touch on the conservative side - but given that I'd rather be safe than sorry, that's not a bad thing. Lastly, unlike a lot of physician's offices, Dr. McKenzie's billing folks were a pleasure to deal with. I'd would certainly recommend Dr. McKenzie and would definitely see him again.

I have had both knees evaluated and surgically corrected by Dr. McKenzie. He is an extremely caring and cautious doctor. He listens carefully and explains options very clearly. His work is pioneering in the areas of meniscus repair and chondroplasty. A town like North Platte is lucky to have a professional of this caliber on staff.
