Dr. Mark Gary Meehlhause, MD

I've been going to Dr. Meehlhause for many many years now and is a fantastic Dr. I'd recommend him to any of my friends and/or family members. He's personable, knowledgeable, and overall an excellent Doctor. His referrals are good doctors as well. and his staff is fantastic.

Very caring and detail-oriented. Easy communication. Avoids polypharmacy.

I have been seeing Dr Meehlhause for a number of years and really like his new business model. Super easy to schedule appointments on short notice and very personal touch.

I'm sad to say that I would not recommend Dr. Meehlhause. I went to him feeling horrible and with a fever. He told me I had a cold and to suffer through it. He did prescribe cough syrup, but unfortunately it didn't even ease my cough. Ten days later I return to his office to find that I have pneumonia. I think the pneumonia could have been prevented.

From the appt setting to receiving lab results it was outstanding. The staff and doctor were great - thorough with a great bedside manner. New office in convenient location. The doctor seemed like he was dialed in with all the specialists too. I recommend this office.

Dr. Meehlhause is an excellent doctor. We have seen him for seven years and he doesn't just care about why you are in to see him, but tries to touch base and build relationships with our family. All of our children love him and this is who they prefer to see for any medical issue. He is assuring and we have the utmost confidence in his professional opinion or recommendation. We like his dry wit and sense of humor as well which makes the visit fun.

Dr. Meelhause is a nice guy, but I want my doctor to actually check me out, not diagnose me from across the room. Niceness has nothing in common with treatment. At any rate, I have seen him 4 times and only one time has he actually looked at me and that was when I had a physical and even that was minimal contact. Either he is a homophobe or he doesn't feel it's necessary to actually look at the body for a diagnoses. Either way, I don't trust a doctor who doesn't use his hands to diagnose.

We started using him back in 2005. When we first started he was very attentative. I started to have serious issues in 2007 and that is where the level of care declined. He would prescribe a medicine without a complete check up, his nurse Mary was fantastic, but his new nurse is awful. They are billing me for a bill that was 2 years old and I can find no valid date of service from my files or my old insurance. It seems things have gotten worse since teh new office opened. The staff does not know what the other is doing. I left the practice and refuse to ever use them again.The above is my opinion, but again I would not be able to recommend this doctor to family or friends

I have been seeing Dr Meehlhause For 5 years. He has help get my Blood pressure and cholesterol under control along with other health issues. He is a Dr. that treats the cause and not the symptoms, which I respect.

Saw this doctor and would not recommend him. He did not seem concerned about me and misdiagnosed me. One day later ended up in the hospital.
