Dr. Mark William Miller, MD

During the last doctor's visit I got prescription for the medication I used to take every day. My prescription drug insurance requires fill out the form for prior authorization by the doctor. I called the doctor’s office and I asked a lady to fill out the form and fax it to my insurance. Unfortunately, doctor’s office staff refused to do it. She told me that I need to schedule another appointment before they fax prior authorization form to my insurance. I am now for month without the medication. But, they don’t care about the patient. They want another appointment! This is very unprofessional.

Dr. Miller is cordial and knowledgeable and attentive in person. However, he holds himself and his office staff unaccountable when his office is directly responsible for failing (multiple times)to provide accurate and timely information to the company that supplies the CPAP machines. When I did the legwork for which he pays office staff, and insisted on speaking with him because this process was held up for 34 business days for no reason but incompetence, Dr. Miller seemed frustrated with me, not with himself or his staff. In fact, he spoke to me as if I were the problem. To interact with a patient as if the patient were being unreasonable for being highly frustrated in a thoroughly frustrating circumstance is unexcusable. He even denied me the satisfaction of firing him, by saying "Ma'am, find another doctor. No, I will not make myself available to you if future problems arise - that is what my office staff is supposed to do. You seem unhappy (!) with my staff in 2 locations so go… elsewhere." My feeling is that Dr. Miller's disengagement with seeing that patients receive the care he prescribes is inexcusable. Likewise, his failure to address the problem in any way is unacceptable. I post this review, hoping that other patients in need of actual medical care might choose to select another physician who is able to provide it, and thus be spared substantial frustration. Thank you.
