Dr. Mark Timothy Monahan, MD

Hands down the absolute worst doctor I’ve ever encountered in a pediatric setting. My four year old was sick and scared; he made the situation exponentially worse with his at times unbelievably insensitive bedside manner. Rude, aggressive, boorish, abrasive and demeaning — this man should never be allowed to treat children, period.

Visiting ER is tough with kids. Dr. Monahan made my child at ease and made visit enjoyable!

Dr Mark Monahan is a teriible doctor, very rude and disrespectful. I went to the er and he walks into the room and says the reason u are having this problem is u are diabetic and I said no I am not he says "well if u aren't its just a matter of time before u are". After proving him wrong, he was mad so he decided to lance my face direcly after administering the numbing medicine, so after several minutes of me screaming, as he is taking a scapel and scissors to my face I realize he is laughing and joking with my daughter about hurting their mom the whole time. I have a witness to this behavior and they were mortified as well. He tells me what he just did was no use to me and here is antibiotics go home and then follow up with your doctor in 2 days or remove the stitches yourself. Memorial should be ashamed to have this doctor on their staff. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Dr. Monahan spent less than 2 minutes with me, he neither listened to me nor took an interest in my concerns. I will never accept treatment from him again.

I have never come across such a rude doctor in my adult life. He is a disgrace to Memorial Hospital.
