About Me
I have had the privilege of working at Kaiser Permanente since 2004. Before that I was a staff anesthesiologist at a community hospital for six years. What attracted me to move my practice to Kaiser Permanente was it's commitment to excellence. From the top down, it is committed to hiring and retaining the finest physicians and nurses. The size and integrated delivery of care at Kaiser Permanente enable it to offer programs and services other hospital systems can't match. I am very proud of the anesthesia care, and the overall care, that our patients receive. Each day I go to work I see the sincere efforts of my colleagues and co-workers to build a healthy organization that can provide the best possible care to its patients.
A bit about me. While an undergraduate at the University of Colorado, Boulder, I had an affinity for the life sciences, but …it was the application of them to real life and illnesses in particular that I found most intriguing. I found my calling in anesthesiology while attending medical school at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). I completed my anesthesia residency at UCSF, as well, and it was there that I had the opportunity to learn from world leaders in the specialty. They taught me much about science and medicine, but also about professionalism and commitment, and I owe them a debt of gratitude.
I am a current member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and the California Society of Anesthesiologists (CSA).
