Dr. Mark Anthony Murphy, MD

Barely acknowledged us. Very short answers. I had a questioned and he mumbled something as he was halfway out the door; didn't stop.

Mark Murphy was my brothers Dr back in 1997. He knew immediately what was going on and was wonderful working with my parents. His team at Children's Hospital LA did their absolute best to make sure my brother was comfortable the entire time of our stay. I am absolutely grateful for what they did for my family.

Dr. Mark Murphy seen my child for all of 2 minutes. I took my child in to be checked for constant fever above 102, wheezing, cough, headache, and nausea. I also mentioned my daughter has in the past been diagnosed with pneumonia that started out as the common cold as recent as last year. Rather then hear my concerns or bother to examine her he quickly dismissed me and my questions. He looked at his paper said "shes fine" and ran out the door. I find this very dis-concerning and was greatly disappointed. He seems very uncomfortable in social situations and creates a distrust between Dr and patient. If I could give no stars I would.

I've only had four encounters with Dr. Murphy so far since my son is still an infant, so I have limited exposure thus far, but I have had the same feelings about Dr. Murphy from the first time I met him. He is nice enough, but seems somewhat distant and socially uncomfortable. He doesn't make great eye contact, causing an uncomfortable feeling between us. He is not one to offer information; I always felt as if I needed to ask enough questions to get the information I needed. If you're looking for a nice doctor only then Dr. Murphy is your man, otherwise I wouldn't recommend him.
