Dr. Mark Walter Oldendorf, MD

I do not understand the complaints I just read about Dr. Oldendorf!!! My husband and I have been with him since he started his practice. I have ALWAYS been very pleased with his diagnosis.

Dr. Oldendorf always takes the time to ask if I understand what I am seeing him for and explain if I don't. He has a fantastic bedside manner (many Doctors these days do not). Dr. Oldendorf genuinely cares!!

Please DO NOT BECOME A PATIENT in THIS PRACTICE, AS HE, DR. OLDENDORF, CARES LITTLE to NOTHING REGARDING his Patients!! In fact, he BARELY REMEMBERS WHO YOU ARE!!! I had been seeing him EVERY 3 MONTHS, FOR THREE (3) YEARS, & ON EACH VISIT, HE would ASK ME, WHO MY PCP WAS!!!!! I would MERELY WHISPER back: "YOU ARE, Doctor!!" I BELIEVE AT ONE TIME, DR OLDENDORF WAS A CARING HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL --- BUT, NO LONGER!!! DURING ONE VISIT, HE ACTUALLY WALKED AWAY FROM ME, & EXITED THE EXAM DOORDOOR, WHEN I WAS DESCRIBING SYMPTOMS TO HIM. PLEASE BEWARE, & AVOID THIS PRACTICE!!

I visited Dr. Oldendorf with sciatica (hip/leg pain) and he wanted me to get an MRI before treating me. I had classic sciatica, and was treated 2x at the emergency room without the need for a MRI. When I told him that, and questioned his care, I continued to get an attitude. I told him I was leaving. I then reconsidered, hoping that I could work through it with him, and he sent me the classic "I can no longer be your doctor" certified mail. I think he is not a doctor to use if you have any pain issues. Maybe he is tired after 37 years in the business. I went to a new GP, explained the issue to the new GP, and received a much higher level of care, including addressing my pain issue with my sciatica and my diabetic nerve pain.

This doctor should not be in practice! My husband had been suffering from non-stop headaches and rapid weight loss since Feburary. My husband asked for blood work to be done, but Dr. O. didn't want to do it. He said that the blood work he had done before was fine - that was almost 6 months earlier...alot can change in that time. He was fixated on the headaches being a sinus problem, and didn't seem concerned about his weight loss. Want him to see an ENT doctor. In the meantime, my husband tried to take his life, the pain was sooooo bad. It turned out to be a Vitamin B12 deficiency - would have been easy to have found that out thru blood work. But no, my husband continued to suffer. Then the doctor told me he had trouble connecting with him. Helllllooooo....he told you wanted bloodwork done...you blew him off! And besides, you're the doctor, it's your job to make that connection, not blame it on the patient. I fear for anyone who sees this so called doctor.

would pick another doctor next time.

Dr.Oldendorf has been our Doctor for 30 years and has always treated us well. The support saff is excellent. I have seen Andel the PA and she is very caring and efficent.I saw Michell NP at walkin for a sinsus infection and she treated the infection with good results.
