Dr Oppenlander and his staff are amazing! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Bottom line, they care! Major back surgery was very successful. We can't say enough about Dr Oppenlander. Highly recommend him!

Dr Oppenlander is the most articulate and simple speaking Doctor I have met. He helped me understand what I was getting into and what my alternatives were, and were not. He recommended a procedure that is progressive and the results have been nothing short of amazing. After my lower lumbar surgery, 4 weeks into recovery, I feel fantastic. I highly recommend this team of professionals. Creshina and the staff are 110% professionals and friendly.

I am writing this review at almost 3 months post-surgery. Dr. Oppenlander performed a minimal invasive S1-L4 fusion surgery to correct a terrible case of Spondylolisthesis. My symptoms started in 2015 and progressively became unbearable by 2022. I had intense sciatic pain on both sides from the buttocks area all the way to my shins. I was experiencing a pain level of 7 to 9 that prevented from walking for more than 3 minutes or standing for more than 10 minutes, at 46 years of age. The only times I was relatively free of pain were when I was sitting, sleeping, or swimming. I knew that I needed to get this surgery done, but I hadn’t found the right surgeon. I have great insurance through my job, so I was able to see various surgeons from both Mayo Clinic and Barrow. The reason why chose Dr. Oppenlander was because he was kind enough to listen to me and took his time to research the best possible surgical option for me. He walked me through the process and answered all my questions. His… credentials as just as impressive as any other doctor from Barrow or Mayo, but he truly shows care and concern for his patients. His team is also amazing. Krishina and Chad are two of the kindest people I have met. Dr. Oppenlander’s work on me was so amazing that I haven’t felt any sciatic pain since I stood up a few hours after the surgery at the hospital. I was able to get off all pain medication 7 days post-surgery and I have continued to recover steadily to the present day. I am now able to stand for as long as I need to, power walk for 60 minutes, swim for 45 and I experience no more sciatic pain. In sum, I wish there were more stars to give in my review.
