Dr. Mark David Overman, MD

How old is this guy? His office is in the parking lot behind SouthBay hospital, yet he won't takre care of nor visit his patients in the hospital. He uses a hospitalist group to care for HIS patients while he eats lunch at the Southbay cafeteria.

I'm new to Florida and made an appt. with Dr. Overman. After my first visit, I wasn't sure he and I were a good fit, so I made an appt. with a different WellMed doctor. The second visit here, I saw Lindsey. She was very nice and a great listener. Then, I had an extremely urgent situation and saw Dr. Overman for the second time. This time, he was very kind and considerate. I had decided to stay with this office but forgot about my other appt. and did not cancel it. During my urgent appt. I was prescribed a medication that was causing severe headaches, so I discontinued it after 2 days. Twice, I called the office and told them that I needed a different medication called in. No one called me for 8 days! Obviously, Dr. Overman does not take his Hippocratic Oath very seriously. My situation was very dangerous and he left me unmedicated for days on end! My friends and family can't believe the way I was treated. My oldest daughter is an RN and I'm a former medical asst. Neither one of us have… ever heard of a doctor treating a patient this way. No wonder the office is always so empty. Stay clear of this place, if you want to stay healthy!!

Poor service and poor care after 10+ years.

All I can say is WOW! I went in with multiple issues and he did everything in his power to help me, ON MY FIRST VISIT! He is one of the best doctors I have been to. We just moved from Indiana and we will never leave this doctor, EVER! Thank you, Dr. Overman!!!

Good listener, thorough. Have been seeing him for many years after seeing other doctors in town and will continue to.

Easy to get in and see. He is a very good listener.

Stay away. My opinion, he's in the trade strictly for the money. There's no concern for the patients well being, my feeling. Seen this guy 2 maybe 3 times. He won't renew script without an office visit ($120+) and charges $35 for each question you ask while you're the room with him or even if you answer his question! Courtesy at the front desk is lacking. After requesting script renewal they didn't even call me back to tell me he wouldn't do the renewal without the office visit and I just saw him not 10 weeks prior. Never contacted me about the blood work he had ordered (hope I'm OK). You've been warned. Maybe there's a reason this guy is so available.

Seems to be a very good doctor. I never wait over 5 mins to be seen. Best staff I've ever met.

I was less than impressed with the doctor. As a new patient he wasn't thorough in following up on whether lab work was needed or any other normal testing that comes with a new patient screening. It was not offered or suggested. Has a blah attitude.

This dr rates in the minus stars as far as I'm concerned and has NO business working with patients at all. He's got terrible bedside manner. Go to a witch dr or a vet, but don't go to him.
