Dr. Mark Ovsiowitz, MD

Dr. Ovsiowitz was professional and on time. However interfacing with him felt like I was talking to an AI Robot, no empathy, no bedside manner. I didnt feel his humanity nor I did I feel I was really heard. Moving forward I will be discontinuing my service.

I have a family history of colon cancer, so I made an appointment with Dr. O as a precautionary measure. When I went in for my colonoscopy, I was nervous (to say the least), but he has such a great bedside manner he put all of my worries at ease. He clearly explained the steps, and just seems like a kind human. As colonoscopies go, this was the easiest possible process, thanks to his skill and gentle nature.

Dr. O performed an endoscopy on me yesterday. I have felt confident and comfortable with him since the day we met. He is very attentive, compassionate and knowledgeable. I felt quite comfortable having this procedure done, knowing I was in good hands with Dr. O.

I would say that Dr. Ovsiowitz is a disgrace to a medical profession. I came to see him because of my abdominal pain. I barely had a chance to see and talk to a doctor. A resident performed the complete exam than the doctor came and spent a couple of minutes with me. I was told that I need upper GI endoscopy, blood test and then the doctor left. When I went to the front desk to schedule my endoscopy I was told that first available appointment that they have is more than two months ahead. I asked them to contact doctor and put me for the earliest day possible. I haven't heard from them since that (it happened in My 2018 and now is 2019). Nobody ever called me about my blood test results or follow up on my condition. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Dr. Ovsiowitz knows that I'm a physician myself.

Don't listen to these other people, Dr Ocsiowitz is excellent and very caring. He listened to all my concerns and was super patient, I was very nervous and grumpy as in a lot of pain. I had nothing but excellent service from him and his team. UCLA medical service back room staff on the other hard are horrid totally financial driven and obstructive, don't care about patient health and told me I wasn't covered when my insurance company told me I was, but Dr O is super and should be given more credit on this page

Always seems rushed. More eye time with computer than patient, every time. Nice man, but seems very pressed to get out of there. Seems to have no interest in patient as an individual with a life affected by their disease.

Dr. Ovsiowitz refused to see a pt. who drove over 7 hours with a 4 day postop eye feeling dizzy as she arrived at the valet parking 6 minutes late. The other reviews are very true

After I drove 7 hours from San Jose with a newly operated eye (4 days postop) so I can make it to see Dr. Ovsiowitz, I arrived 6 minutes late at d valet parking & the doctor refused to see me. MD stated I would have to reschedule & 6 minutes is too long to accommodate a new pt. who drove over 7 ours feeling dizzy to see him.

Very caring and knowledgeable. He was willing to spend the time to answer all of my questions and explain everything.
