Dr. Mark Lucas Phillips, MD

Dr.Phillips treats the whole patient, not just symptoms. He encourages patients to go beyond medication, to try to help them with mobility and to not give up. I know that he has a very heavy workload yet he treats each patient as a human being, not just another case file.

Knowledge, experience, understanding, patience, great sense of humor, etc, etc...

He truly cares about his patients. Listens, compassionate, makes a difference in my life. He and his staff make you feel like you're family. Has kept my pain under control for 16 year's. Don't know what I would do without him. Lucky to have such a wonderful doctor .

My mother has chronic and constant pain in her back. This Clinic has had her medical records for assessment for over 5 weeks and still no response. I would not recommend this clinic for anyone who needs treatment within a reasonable amount of time.

Well authoritated in his line of work as a pain doctor . Very friendly and is down to earth . Has helped me with my back pain, after an operation seveal years ago . I am 73 years old and have authoritis pain in my hip, shoulder and hands . I would recomend Dr. Phillips to those that have any type uncontrolable pain .

I have been a patient of Dr. Phillips for 6+ years. My medical issue which requires treatment is degenerative in nature, and therefore not easily treatabled with surgery. I have *always* found Dr. Phillips to be compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. He has a quick sense of humor, so it's easy to develop a comfortable rapport. He's a good listener, which has made a tremendous difference in receiving specifically individualized treatment. He maintains the latest in current medical knowledge, not limited his own field of expertise. Dr. Phillips takes the profession of pain management very seriously, and will not tolerate abuse of the medications he prescribes. Office policies and testing reflect this stance. Personally, I find this reassuring, considering the level of abuse reported in current national news.

Dr. Phillips and staff are so caring and treat you as though you have known them for along time. Dr Phillips takes time and listens to all your concerns and will always make sure that he gives you the proper medicine to make you comfortable. I am very satisfied with him.

Dr Phillips is caring & compassionate, and has a true understanding of a chronic pain patient. He treats me like a regular person, chats pleasantly, and is always upbeat. The only problems I've had with the practice is getting calls returned promptly when there were issues with obtaining RX's. The current receptionist could improve a bit - but the nurse is very nice always.

I've seen many Pain Management Doctors in the Piedmont Triad. Dr. Phillips by far, is the most knowledgable and considerate practitioner I've seen. He has helped me manage my pain due to...Chronic Arthritic Degeneration throughout my body.
