I went to him because I'd been having A LOT of issues with anxiety/depression. I've struggled with them for years but this was the first time I'd actually been to a physician about it. Bevause I made the mistake of saying I smoked weed occasionally (like twice a month), he pretty much told me that was my REAL problem and he wouldn't consider me clean until I hadn't used for at least a year. At that point, it was just a way to escape every now and then, but according to him I was just an addict. And for the rest of the session, he was just plain rude and dismissive. I was more stressed going out than coming in!

To convince my husband to see a phychiatrist was almost impossible. He has struggled with substance abuse in earlier years and now continue to struggle with alcohol. I have know my husband since he was a child and he has always been a very extreme person. Anyway yes he is an alcoholic, but I feel like he is bi-polar and obsessive compulsive. Dr. Pitchler suggested he could not evaluate him until he had quite drinking for an entire year. Didn't offer anything but intensive outpatient services. He has done all of this in the past over and over. I think he should have been willing to work with us at least ask us to come back to get to know us better before being so quick to say there was nothing they could do until he could be totally alcohol free for one year. Now I am looking again trying to find a psychiatrist that will listen to us so I can get him some help. He is willing once again to seek help.

When I first started going to Dr. Pichler I was very impressed. He was kind, seemed to care and paid attention to what I said. I recieved the diagnosis and it was as usual, to which he treated me. As I became better he was almost dismissive, and as another person stated, was very dismissive of another dr's recommendation and became almost angry, if not angry!! Seems to be really into the "talk therapy" and I feel if I don't go, he won't continue to treat me....I'm not sure that would be a bad thing!!! Though I need the medication!!!

This was my first visit to see Dr. Pichler. I'm usually very nervous anytime I go to the Doctor, but the office staff and nurse really made me feel at ease. I loved Dr. Pichler. He made me feel very comfortable and his office environment is nice and relaxing. He was courteous, kind, caring and gentle. He struck me as very informed and understood everything I told him about my condition. I have a major anxiety disorder which is also causing me health problems. After visiting with him this morning, I'm more than confident he holds the solution I've been looking for.

I was not impressed with this physician. He totally diregared my diagnosis from a previous physician (whom I LOVED) and had the audacity to question his abilities. He did not seem genuinely concerned about my problems. What he did concern himself with is pushing brand name medication (a rep probably visited him before my appointment) and stacking me up with appointments to his office (so he could bill my insurance). Speaking with his staff (very nice ladies) was the only thing positive about my experience. I will NOT be using him in the future.

this dr is an arrogant pompous jerk and I would not let him dianose my pets. I would rather take my chances and deal with my own issues than to have to look at this man again
