He performs all surgeries on the colon, rectum, and anus, as well as routine and advanced colonoscopies. Dr. Pidala moved here in 1998 and was one of the first colon and rectal surgeons in Houston to perform minimally invasive laparoscopic colon resections.
Dr. Pidala is an assistant professor of surgery at the The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He plays an active role in the education of the residents enrolled in the colon and rectal surgery program at the University of Texas.
