Dr Pimentel is excellent and allows his patients to participate in their own care which is lacking in most doctors today.

Pimentel is a classic example of a doctor who is letting his popularity get to his head. He is not an investigator and if his one size fits all approach does not work for a patient he gives up on them and passes them on to another doctor. I observed him at a conference last year and he is standoffish and does not know how to answer many questions. I also heard from some of his past patients how he has no bedside manner.

Dr. Pimentel is years ahead of everyone else when it comes to understanding Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Post Infectious IBS. His protocol for Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth dramatically improved my symptoms and he is also a very nice man. I think the National Institute of Health should give all of their research money for Irritable Bowel Syndrome to him because he has had the most success in helping patients. His research has proven to be far more effective in helping IBS than any other research. I know his hard work and dedication will eventually lead to finding out the cause and cure of IBS. He has given many people with IBS hope and I hope he continues to conduct more research in the future.
