What I most appreciate about Dr. Pomerantz-- aside from his expertise and his affable disposition-- is his refusal to condescend to his patients. He treats us as intelligent people, and if his explanations occasionally border on the arcane, he is willing to rephrase them in layman's terms without appearing to "dumb down" his language. Because Dr. Pomerantz keeps abreast of new developments in cardio care, he is willing to explore new medications, which he will recommend (or not) depending upon their cost as well as their efficacy. He is also connected to the cardiology center at Englewood Hospital, which offers a wide range of high-level testing and treatment should the in-office diagnosis warrant additional services. A visit to Dr. Pomerantz's office is both a stress-free and an educational experience; as a result, one comes away confident of having received excellent cardio treatment from one of the best practitioners in the field.
