Dr. Mark Wright Powell

He is a no good doctor. Told me over a year ago i have fatty liver disease.just found out i don’t. And i found out i have stage 3 kidney disease and he knew it and didn’t tell me. Stay away from this doctor

Have been seeing Dr. Powell for over 20 years. Always very satisfied with treatment. His office manager on the other hand is terrible. No client skills. She rarely will take a call, never returns calls, and very uncooperative and rude. I have comtemplated changing doctors, but realize my main focus is on the treatment and services of Dr. Powell, not his staff, but it is very frustrating!

Dr. Powell has been our family doctor for ten years and is excellent.

I saw Dr. Powell several years ago for asthmatic bronchitis with some pneumonia. The steroids prescribed caused me continual side effects, which required nearly daily calls to his office for re-prescribing the dosages. No real problem until one side effect, a growing swelling in my throat, alarmed me. I could not reach the Dr, the nurse practitioner refused to let me speak with him, and refused to respond when I asked whether to continue or discontinue the medication, insisting instead that I come in for an appointment the next day. Explaining that I had symptoms affecting my breathing NOW, not tomorrow, had gave no results. Asking whether to continue the medication tonight and tomorrow prior to the appointment yielded no results. After seeing the Dr the next day regarding my condition, I asked to speak with him regarding his staff and my inability to reach him or get medical counsel about the frightening side effects I was experiencing. His responses were rude and abrupt and he… charged me for an extra consultation! I have not used his office since that time.
