Dr. Mark Joseph Puccioni, MD

Dr. Puccioni has performed surgery on both of my children. We traveled a long distance to see Dr. Puccioni and our surgical results have been life changing. He is a highly skilled surgeon with an an amazing bedside manner. Our surgical outcomes have far surpassed anything we could have imagined. We will forever be thankful to Dr. Puccioni and his staff.

Dr. Puccioni is an amazing doctor and has helped take care of our daughter. With this many years of experience I will always come to him if we ever have any issues or future problems.

My son is a Preemie born at 25 weeks. Puccioni has done 5/6 of his neuro surgeries. He is very efficient with getting surgeries set up. He is also very confident which is what I like most about him. He always lets us know what’s going on and what the next step is. I couldn’t imagine a surgeon. -Madison H

The doctor and nurse practitioners themselves were very professional and polite. A few of the ladies at the front not so much, It was almost as we were inconvenience to them to be in their presence. Pretty sure i would do something else or anything else then having to be there for a new visit for brain surgery for my son. She was i think training a new gal and the one gal was polite and professional. The other one was the complete opposite. We probably waited in the lobby for a good 45 minutes and then in the room for almost and hour. Our visit with the doctor himself took like 10 minutes of our time. As a different doctor already had the scans and stuff done and the condition diagnosed. I feel they should consider reevaluating some of their help and front line staff and the place would be a much better and relaxing place. Which for a person seeing him that's what they would need/want knowing the reason they are seeing him is pretty serious.

My son was diagnosed with filum terminale when he was 11 months old. When he was 13 months old Dr. Puccioni repaired by sons spinal cord and did an amazing job. He communicated with us throughout the whole process his thoughts, concerns and opinions and answered any questions we had. My son is possibly needing another surgery and Dr. Puccioni I'm sure will do great once again. Highly recommended!!

Our Daugherty had one spinal cord Surgery and two important wrist surgery's,we were beyond pleased. The outcome In all three was more than we could have hoped for.

Dr. Puccioni came into my sons appointment with a preconceived diagnosis. He was not dressed professionally, his dress shirt was unbottoned down to his belly showing his chest hair. His first question was "Why are you here?" My son who is 15 told him what is going on and I explained what tests and dr. visits we have had to bring us to him. He said to me he that he doesn't know what I heard but there is no evidence of that on the MRI. I asked why my son was in so much pain. He gave a flip answer of "I don't know, maybe physical therapy would help." Dr. Puccioni never examined my son. My son has a chronic condition that caused him to have a broken neck at age 2 and a broken back at at 5. I asked about those areas and he said that he doesn't see any scar tissue showing that he ever had any broken bones. He could not get us out of his office fast enough.

Dr. Puccioni was great...very caring, upfront and personable...would recommend him to anyone who needs brain surgery.

This neurosurgeon could not identify brain tumor from normal brain during a craniotomy and did not have the courtesy to tell family. He got lost among the anatomy during surgery, told family he got most of the tumor out, when in actuality most of it was left. He could not find important structures during the surgery. Told family that most of the tumor was removed, when in actuality there was a tumor the size a large grape left. His staff is VERY rude. Physical therapist doing post op appointment did not even have the right lobe of the brain down insofar as where the resection occurred. He could not tell where the tumor was, or how much was left after the surgery. The radiologists he used were not any better. This doctor should not be doing tumor resections--period.

Puccioni is a wonderful neurosurgeon. He had excellent manners and cared about our concerns. He answered all our questions in detail, and then some. He followed up with us after my sons surgery. I would 100% recommend Dr. Mark Puccioni.
