Dr. Mark E Raider

Dr. Raider had been recommending that I have a cap placed on one of my molars. Although I was having no pain or discomfort I finally agreed. The first cap he placed had to be removed as it did not set properly. After the cap was placed for a second time, I complained for months about severe sensitivity to any cold and other discomfort. Dr. Raider's advice was that the sensitivity could take 6 months to subside and that as long as I was not having any pain radiating up my jaw, it was fine. Dr. Raider's "bedside manner" can be best described with three words.....arrogant, dismissive, and rude. After seeking care from another dentist, here is what actually needed: 1) A root canal. The root canal immediately got rid of the unbelievable sensitivity I had been having and had been complaining about to Dr. Raider. If I had taken Dr. Raider's advice I would have waited in pain for six months to still wind up needing a root canal. 2) I also needed the second cap Dr. Raider placed to be… removed and replaced. The cap was placed so deep into the gum it was causing a pocket. The cap was also not spaced properly between the teeth surrounding it. It was placed too close to the tooth in front causing pressure on that tooth and with a large gap between the cap and the tooth behind it. As if all that isn't bad enough, this is my favorite part. I called the office to to complain about the poor care I feel I received, to get my records, and to tell them I would not be returning and needed to see another dentist to fix the issues. The response from Dr. Raider and his office was to leave me a message and send me a letter releasing me from the practice. How is that for dishonest? A patient complaines and reports she will be leaving the practice and the practice responds in a way to make it seem like the patient was asked to leave. Truly unbelievable.
