Dr. Mark Steven Reuben, MD

Dr. Mark S. Reuben founded Reading Pediatrics as a solo practice in 1976, when he returned to his native Reading. A graduate of Reading High School, Penn State University and Thomas Jefferson University Medical School , Dr. Reuben did his pediatric training at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Dr. Reuben is director of the Department of Pediatrics at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, having chaired its Medical Liability Committee and currently serves on the Committee for Child Health Financing. He served as president of the Pennsylvania Chapter in 2000-2002. Additionally, Dr. Reuben is a consultant for Highmark (Pennsylvania Blue Shield) and the PMSLIC Insurance Company. Locally, Dr. Reuben has been an active advisor for the Berks County Children and Youth Services, providing consultation on child abuse cases and serving on their Citizens Advisory Board. Additionally, he chairs the County …Child Death Review Team. He and his wife occupy their spare time with her singing and golfing together, as well as spending time with their two grandchildren.
